Good fight there from the boys. Can’t leave 19 on base tho. Also can’t give up double digit hits on a Friday night game. That’s Sunday game type numbers even though our pitcher struck out 18 batters. Weird game. Balls just seemed to find the gaps and we gave up a ton of extra base hits.

Auburn is now 7-2 on the season and not using SingleMatls math but real numbers Nebraska moves to 5-3.

It was an an odd game. 19k but we give up 10 runs, P did great in situations except for Hetzler, very weird overall.

Overall I thought we played well, got to get the long ball going and figure out our batting order and we’ll be fine.

Batting order

Carter
Mccrain B
Rembert
Bub
Guevara or bingaham
Bingaham/Guevara
Fralick
MCraine, M
Farber

I could put Fralick at 4 and slide down rest.

Cade and Clay just not getting it done.

I’m not moving Fralick down at all. I would move Rembert if he is in the line up down just above Farber.

Carter
Bingaman
Fralick
Bub
Guevara
M McCrain
B McCrain
Rembert
Farber

To early to move Brandon McCrain up to the 2 hole he hasn’t faced SEC level pitching yet. If we get through 3 SEC series and he’s still hitting over .400 in SEC games then sure maybe some movement is right. He’s in a great spot and he and his brother seem to be working well together an comfortable which is very important for young players.

My bigger question is can McCrain or Rembert play SS and the other 2nd and replace Farber in the lineup?

Mccraine has definitely showed he can do it. He may hit a wall but over the past two weeks he has shown he can hit.

I like my catcher at 5 or 6. They will wear down over long weekend and late in game

Nonemaker showed Guevara will be SS or 3B. Chris is 2B so that leaves McCraine as DH or 3B.

Sanders gets a K, a groundout, beans a guy. Runner steals and they’re threatening.

0-0 T1. One on two outs.

Carter works a full count but this guy clearly has control issues. Carter hits a hopper to third and beats the throw. Carter steals and we’re threatening.

Bub walks on four pitches and the bases are jacked for Bingaman with one out.
