hat's a start but I don't think depth was ever the issue in the games we lost this season.

I mean there's no way our defense got tired at halftime of the Miss State game. We dominated Alabama for 59 min. and even defenses with depth get winded after 90+ plays. I think South Carolina scored more in the first half than the second.

I don't know if it was just a lack of focus or adjustments or what but I don't see where it was ever a fatigue issue.

I agree in the other games our D simply did not sync well, but in the Alabama game by the end of the 4th our depth was an issue.

The DL was gassed just before that last Alabama drive. Alabama had run 21 plays to our 12, and interspersed in there was an INT by Finley on the first play that put our D out there in back to back drives.

I watched the line and the sidelines and Hall and Moultry were acting so tired, that on a couple of plays they didn't even rush the line for a play. We called a TO too to give our D a rest.

Alabama's last drive was 12 plays. And we were dragging totally after they crossed midfield.

So depth and tiredness did affect us in the 4th qtr.

I get that and they were definitely gassed but like I said even teams with the depth of Alabama are going to struggle when they play 90+ plays and the offense can't even make first downs to give them a break.

Bo improved and Jarquez Hunter is the real deal, he needs more touches.

And I agree with you on the number of plays.

We have had a 2nd half issue for the last 4 games, with little to show on offense with long or productive drives.

To get only 3,0,6,3,3 and only the 4th in the last 5 games 6 points, that is on the offense, play calling, execution, and quality QB/OL play that all contributed to that lack of production.

And with a backup QB, going against a D that is ranked high in the conference against the run, we were in trouble trying to keep drives alive through the air.

That is almost impossible, and the 6 was only after Miss St. went up two scores and into prevent.
