Citizen doesn’t help the DL room but offense has been the biggest concern with recruiting so far so Citizen would help there.
As you know — without immediate help via the portal the offense should continue to look bad and it takes multiple classes to solve that. Not sure anyone has patience for it. I’m not especially concerned about the defense yet

I agree with what you are saying just saying it bottom line where we “finish” is all that matter. Citizen will help that. I’m not sure our offensive problems comes from the running back room either was my other point. Citizen would be a great addition as I see him as probably the best running back in this class much like I saw tank as the best his class

If you’re going to melt every time a player transfers then you may want to take up knitting or deck building because this is the new norm

It has mostlybeen an exit at this point, and not much of an entrance for quality players. Hopefully this isn’t the new normal.

Yeah but that’s the majority of teams at this point.
I’m not super confident we are going to get the pieces we will need to be successful next year (OL and WR) so don’t think this is some sunshine and rainbows post. I’m just saying freshmen leaving because they think there’s a quicker path to PT somewhere else is going to be a common occurrence across the country for the foreseeable future.

I’m trying to figure still why Citizen would want to come play w us.
Not a great running OL.
Going to play behind Tank for sure.
I just think we’re going the route we’ve been seeing this recruiting cycle.

That is completely irrelevant to your claim that a majority of the teams have as many outgoing versusincoming as Auburn has.
There are plenty of teams such as South Carolina that is apparently suddenly superior to Auburn bringing folks in from the portal. Decent folks like Kobe Hudson to meet their needs.
We haven’t met our position needs at any position group.

If Kobe Hudson meets their needs good for them. He didn’t meet our needs. I guess We can set our needs bar as low as usce but we aren’t going to like the outcome.

He isn't full of shite. He's right.
247 Portal Look at the teams portion
There are only a 2-3 teams that have as many or more coming in as going out. The majority of the SEC have a lot going out and only a couple committed so far.

I may be wrong, but I believe the 4-3 defense is more popular in college than the 3-4 Mason is running. I just don’t want to see Mason leave next year, only to have run off our 4-3 recruited guys that Steele recruited.

That’s not what I’m seeing.

He was our best receiver WR1.

For one year and still would have a chance to play this year

There you go. Edited to add the list since you weren't looking after all.
You also proved you argue by how you feel and not really facts.

You listed a bunch of teams that isn’t in Auburn’s situation.
Some of those teams are losing bums. We are losing some of our most talented players.
You think Bama is worried about the players they are losing? Georgia is losing 3 players.
LSU is kinda similar to Auburn’s situationbut then again, 13-3 won’t be the normal for them either. They just lost a head coach. They also nabbed Lacy, the WR transfer that we really wanted and a decent QB and their depth chart looks far better than Auburn’s.
I have told y’all before the portal is going to favor the teams that are on the up n up and punish the ones not yet squared away.
Rocky, what does our depth chart look like compared to the rest of the SEC and is the portal helping meet needs?
-Kentucky is also only losing 12 unless you counted Gatewood. Which he left before last season. And Lord knows you don’t want to include the Auburn players we lost before last season.

OM has 18 out?
That’s a lot for a team winning 11 games.
I did notice the ones w the most transfers in are w new coaches.
I wonder what our transfer list looked like in Harsin’s first yr?
