Is it more fun to melt over this? I'm kinda meh over the hire. Don't see how many people can feel differently.

Next year will be nauseating. Not even mad, just to the point where I don't even care if we suck. At some point enough will be enough and Auburn can start over from the ground up.

Boom has fricked Auburn twice now and some of you abused wives are still in love with him.

We waited all this fricking time for Kevin fricking Steele. This is the biggest joke ever.

I thought you said earlier today that if Steele was hired you were quitting Auburn?

He is, but he didn't say he was quitting the Auburn board.

Despite losing the highest paid assistant and hiring a lackluster/10th in line replacement we likely end up spending more on defensive coaching

Steele - $1.33mil/yr + $500k buyout
Garner = Same
LT - Raise to keep ~$175k to beat USCe
DB Coach- probably ballpark TRob

I feel like we are paying for the presidential suite and ended up at La Quinta Inn

I'm hearing Derrick Ansley might be the new DB coach.

If you have looked....LSU's D stats were better this year than last year in every category except for scoring.

What statistics are you looking at? LSU's defense deteriorated under Steele. Here are the numbers from 2014 and 2015 LSU... Chavis/Steele:

2014
YPG: 306
PassYds allowed: 162
RushYds allowed: 143
PtsAllowed: 16.4
NationalRankD: #8

2015
YPG: 342
PassYds allowed: 211
RushYds allowed: 132
PtsAllowed: 24
NationalRankD: #25

Other than rush-d, in every major defensive category LSU's 2014 defense was significantly better than Steele's 2015 defense. I'd like to see where you're getting your information from because it doesn't appear correct.

Steele was using the same exact players as 2014 too, right?

Jalen Collins, Danielle Hunter, Kwon Alexander all took a step back under Steele?

That's his point.

Lsu was in a little bit of rebuilding mode on defense

Oh, apologies then.

I was confused because I don't think Steele ever coached Kwon

This quote seems to imply that Kwon did.

Really weak argument in my opinion. LSU has a pipeline of players from Louisiana like no other school does. LSU has more NFL players than any school. Argue against stats and numbers if you like but nationally they dropped nearly 20 spots in 1 year under Steele.
