What about y'all's run game? Same look as last year? That scheme gave us FITS.
Biggest thing is, we're passing more on early downs as Gus gets more and more confidence in Sean to put the ball in the hands of the sick freshamn/sophomore receivers we've picked up.
Basically, the O doesn't look anything like last year and tbh that's an excellent thing. Everyone's sort of freaking out about the game on Saturday because that was the first time we've seen something that looked like a Gus offense since the 2014 Iron Bowl

We haven't pressured the QB enough and have had a couple of break downs with lbs in coverage, but nothing that sends systemic. These have been our biggest issues defensively.
Something that I think will become a problem for Trevor Knight this year is his footwork. He has a BAD habit of backpedaling himself right out of the play and into trouble, when he should be stepping up in the pocket. Has also had a penchant to miss receivers high. Bad combo. He'll have to settle the frick down and not try to be a hero if we're even going to keep the game close.

Saturday should be close.
I think it will be, too. Barring some fluky shite going down.
Of course I say that now, and Knight probably throws 3 pick 6s and y'all win going away

You are probably too clueless to see the point but carry on.

Vintage Gus Bus?
Y'all pretty aggressive with the tempo, as well?

Tempo was excellent Saturday.
Problem is we still don't know what we have because well, Arky State wasn't a very good team. It would have been nice to see the same offense vs Clemson to get a better idea of where we stand.
I believe Saturday can be a good test for both teams and set the tone for what's to come. We will have LSU the following week, so the next two weeks are crucial to a great season or could tell us we are in for a long year.
Our DB's are good, but tall receivers can give them a hard time, and I believe you have a couple of tall ones. I would say being a home game makes me feel better, but we know what home field advantage has meant in this game so far.

God that used to piss me off when TAMU's OC used to do that. It's so lazy
Tempo is effective, but only when used wisely. It can hurt your own team pretty bad if you're not careful.

Yup, good early litmus test for both sides. I think we'll figure out pretty quick which team is a fraud or not. Weaned decently vs. UCLA, but sputtered when we should have put that game away. And I'm not even going to acknowledge a second of game film from our prairie view game

We have some tall bodies, but really haven't given them chances to perform the past couple of years. Ricky Seals-Jones is a huge target, but he plays very passively sometimes. He had a bad drop at the end of regulation in the UCLA game that would have set us up for a game winning field goal.
Aggie WRs that'll probably get the most targets are Josh Reynolds (#11) and Christian Kirk (#3), if I had to guess.

Biggest thing on that end is can your QB make back shoulder throws and your WR can catch them. Our DBs play tight and that was the only thing clemson had that could beat us.
And GTFO aggie.

True on that back shoulder pass. Watson was precision in his throw and you could tell they practiced it for many hours.

Knight CAN do it, but he's inconsistent. Sometimes he drops a dime, and sometimes idk where the ball is going when it leaves his hand
If that's the kind of precision it's going to take, TAMU had better have the run game performing well, IMO.
