to be excited about Auburn Football and looking forward to the beginning of the season.

I think we'll see a different team out there this year. Excited about Freeze's offense, the mentality of the team, the execution, the new players. This is the first year in quite a few that I have actually been watching a little Spring stuff.

Just a good feeling.

We are definitely in the honeymoon phase, but there are real signs that things are better. We were making excuses for Harsin and staff at this point 2 years ago, and now we are wondering which Alabama or Georgia commit we are going to flip. Perhaps the biggest positive sign are the guys who didn't go into the portal from our team.

I also like the staff, but I'm sure I will be mocking them if we start losing winnable games. It's all love and hugs until Arkansas beats us.

I think we as fans will be patient as long as we can see the effort, and we don't see talent jumping ship like we did under the previous staff.

Just call me Missouri, because I’m at the show me state. I was so happy to get rid of mediocre Gus that I was blind to the train wreck of Mr. Potato Head coming. I like how hard Freeze recruits. Now let’s see some results.

I'm a show me guy at this point too. Nothing against Freeze for me but I'm jaded by so many years of mediocrity and UGA and Bama beating our asses.

I remember the night a friend texted me with the news that Auburn hired Bryan Harsin. I immediately got a bad case of the dry heaves. I spent much of the next two years hearing that he was a good coach and just needed more time. When he was fired, it was like someone turned the lights on. I have felt more optimistic ever since.

I had to Google him!

Freeze on the other hand,.......He's been very impressive with the teams he's put on the field. Just like Bruce, both have pasts that they've learned from. I don't see either making the same mistake twice. Freeze is a damn good coach, great recruiter, and his players buy into his message. Really looking forward to the future.

15-0 Ship!

Forgive the show me fans. Their balls haven’t dropped yet. Give them a little more time.

That is never a good sign when an SEC football coach is hired.

No shite! We just had fired a guy with a massive contract, and his replacement was a dude most had never heard of.

I'm confident Freeze is a homerun hire. Just have to give him a little time to get his parts in place. The best part is, after the last two seasons, as fans even a modest improvement will seem like a major move forward.

If you had to google Bryan Harsin you really didn’t follow football that closely.

If you were familiar with Harsin BEFORE he became the HC at Auburn, you follow college football more closely than 90& of the population. Petersen made people look at Boise. I doubt 1% of college football fans could tell you who is the current Boise coach. You are in a very small minority if you knew much about Harsin before his hire at Auburn.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all, but you have to admit firing one of the highest paid coaches in the country and then hiring an obscure coach to replace him, has to be up there as one of the biggest self inflicted wounds an athletic department has ever done to itself. I'm glad the smart people are back in charge and didn't cave to the idiots who were screaming for a ego-maniac with almost zero experience.

Andy Avalos. He was Oregon's DC from 2018-2020. Only reason I know is because I have insomnia and West Coast games tend to be late at night when I am struggling to fall asleep.
