I just don’t think this happens regularly does it? I mean, if we hired Kiffin or Prime soon, would they just jump ship and go to Auburn mid season?

No need for them to jump ship. Even if it were possible I'd lose a lot of respect for either of them if they left their team before the end of the season.
We have an Auburn legend at interim coach and we're going to enjoy the hell out of the rest of this season.
Hopefully, we'll announce the new head coach the day after the Iron Bowl.

Ole Miss and JSU are still championship contention teams, and can't get raises based on the interest, so likely no

#1 - No, it's be unethical and pretty fricking stupid to leave your team in the middle of the season. You're going to get booed and taunted by the team that you left and possibly the team that you've joined

#2 - Even if that were to happen, you wouldn't even officially be coaching until the end of the season, so why even bother?

#3 - What are they going to do with the previous head coach? Fire him? Put him in a state where he knows his job is practically finished once the season ends? It's a different story with temporary coaches but you know what I mean

TLDR; Nah

How do you announce a coach that isn't hired till the end of their season?

It doesn't usually happen. The coach normally finishes the season at his previous job.

Nobody will start mid season. However, I think if we get a deal done with Prime, they may announce it during the season. Probably not tho. Too many people to burn with a midseason change.
