I wouldn't call him skinny. Dude is pretty jacked. He's around 6'3 220. Yea he'll put on weight, but I doubt we'll get him over 230-235.

Ahh, don't know why I thought that, then. I do remember people saying he shied away from contact. He could be a monster with that frame.

He definitely ran softer than he should for his size and frame, you're not wrong remembering that. He is a good sized kid for the hybrid position we will use him. Measurable are almost identical to Charles Clay as a Freshman. As a RB, he was much more prone to running around or juking guys than lowering the shoulder. Though, he is pretty agile so it wasn't like it was a bad idea. The OL he played behind at Mtn. Brook every year was also garbage, so he kind of had to run for his life a lot.

Shockingly similar.

I don't know shite about shite, but I know I was not terribly impressed with Boobie at A-day. He looked fast but did not have that "running back look" if you knowhadamean. I know you can't draw very much from that scrimmage, but regardless I was not very impressed. Or I was not as impressed as I thought I might be based on people hyping his ability.

You cant see talent then

you mean patience as a runner, picked the correct running lane, burst through arm tackles and ran for multiple 10+ yard runs against 1st and second team defenses? L O L

try watching the "scrimmage" again. Really watch it and pretend its KJ running the ball.

Boobie is clearly the best RB we have...Kam Martin second and Asa third. Also 37 could be a decent power back but i wouldnt count on him being in the starting rotation

One thing history on this board would reveal...whatever the opinion of the majority is almost has no chance of happening.

Boobie is the most talented RB on the roster so I fully expect him to frick it up somehow in dramatic fashion just like Dyer, just like Pettway, just like Jovon, etc.

Id love to know why you think that. I hope your "evaluation" is not the spring game

No...he's not. And if he is, we're in big trouble.

yeah, it's so clear. We saw him play in that one game that doesn't matter, and he had that really neat run where he went backwards 20 yards against the 2nd and 3rd team defense.

I am not on or off. I have no idea how good he is. You do though and I just wanted to know how.

One day you will have watched enough football to be able to spot talent Lanier. Til then, just trust those who have.

Sean White was a good Qb for Auburn

I'm not doubting, I just think it's ridiculous someone is saying that he's clearly the best RB we have.

But none of this matters, because just last week a board insider was telling everyone whitlow was all but off the team.

Kam, Asa and Boobie. those look to be the best three imo. Kam is better than many people think, but he isn't very durable. Asa looks good but I'm not sold on him being THE guy. Boobie has the size to carry the load but needs to work on his blocking and catching out of the backfield.

Out of those three, Kam and Boobie look like the best combo. I prefer Boobie based on his size, agility and vision

Look, I hope the kid figures it out and is a superstar...I'm simply saying I just dont see it based on the very limited number of times I've seen him run the ball.

When i saw Rudi Johnson play in a spring game, as an example, I (and everyone else) knew he was gonna be a star, even though I knew the spring game didnt mean anything. He just had "it". I dont see that with Boobie. Hope I'm wrong.

A-Day stars have been a mixed bag. Not that Boobie won the honors, but previous winners include PJ3, Myron Burton (quit to pursue modeling), Jovon, Justin Garrett (injuries), Kenny Flowers.

Stidham and Carlson help balance it out some but suffice to say - I wouldn’t count on A-Day results as a signal for success.

I like Whitlow a lot. He’s definitely not your typical RB. His athleticism and vision are elite, IMO. RB in college is a position that kids can come in and pick up quickly. I never expected him to come in and become the workhorse but I saw him as a valuable asset out of the backfield. Auburn is a better team if he can put it together

And just last year, you guys were telling us that Malik Miller, Devon Barrett and Ignobidisgisidueisid was going to be the guys that were going to take us past KJ when there was questions asked about out depth

I guess its always a fluid situation but whatever.

Id just like to wait and see who will emerge as the man. Not sure any of us know who it will be as of now

you must have me confused with another poster. Last year was KJ and Pettway. Never said any of those three would be contributors. Nice try though
