I'm not worried about losing a RB to TN but I am worried we are now competing with GT for recruits.

Doesn't matter about RBs anyway when our OL is gonna be Group of Five talent level.

Can’t rule out a scenario that a kid picks Georgia Tech over Auburn but I’m doubtful it happens often.

Langlo could be that guy, though. These catholic school kids have different priorities

(I picked Auburn over GT for academics with cost being equal, even though AU was out of state. Auburn’s economics department was hard to beat anywhere for about a decade)

Fairchild gone, Johnson slipping, McKinstry slipping, Brooks gone, Carter gone, Ferguson gone. We might lead for 1 prospect in the 247 top 300 and he's like 280.

At least we won't have a recruiting class to worry about keeping in tact in case Gus fails on the field again.

You've jumped off the deep end, even by your melodramatic standards.

Should never be a reason to not fire someone.

FWIW one of the most reliable people connected to AU, autigers07 echoed Keith on AU not being all in on Cody Brown. He says we weren’t ready to take Cody & wanted to see him at a Summer camp (before they were canceled). There is concern over his weight & he might be more H-Back than true RB. Also said we never led or pushed for Brown either. Lastly, says he's not convinced we take a 2nd RB in the class likely because of the current depth plus he says we lead for 2 in state studs in the 2022 class in Emmanuel Henderson & Quinshon Judkins who are likely better than anything we can add in this class. Implying Taking a 2nd now may decrease our chances of getting both in the next class

What about all the OL, we not cool with taking any of them either? The 5* star edge DL that grew up an AU fan? Losing him to an inferior program no big deal? Any homerism to explain away the general lack of any momentum or interest in Auburn from pretty much any big time prospect?

RB - No Big Deal
DL - Would be a big deal, but trust in our Dline coach

The thread he posted in only discussed Brown to the Vols. He didn't give a larger recruiting view. With that said, your question is moronic. Of course we are going to try to take OL. my best guess is 2-3 OTs & 1-2 interior OL.

Wasn't anything there that needed to be said that hasn't been said countless times over. It was a big loss.

Yes, Not sure how many times that needs to be repeated.

He's not a homer which is one of the reasons he's so well respected. But again you know the answer to your question as you have seen it numerous times. We seem to be struggling in the virtual recruiting world. It was theorized not being able to get recruits on campus was going to be a disadvantage to AU because AU on campus environment is pretty unique & sells itself well.

Auburn’s struggle right now in the 2021 class is a little overstated.

Alabama is currently ranked 12th... in the SEC. Ohio State is the only school really killing it right now. Tennessee has landed some big targets but it’s only May and they’ve already tallied 11 3* guys and not one of them is of the high end variety

Let’s see how this pans out

I don’t know what’s true here but we heard a few weeks ago that Auburn was pushing for Cody Brown and that Gus was heavily involved in his recruitment.

Someone’s wrong about something related to this guy. I think that’s fair to say here

I generally put more credibility behind those with a reputation on the line and a known name behind the username. They have more to lose.

Yea we are 4th in avg rating, so we have good talent we just haven't begun to fill out the middle of our class like everybody else has.

Y'all need to read the tea leaves. We have like 4 or 5 commits and only maybe 1 of the top 300 prospects according to 247 that may be trending our way it's a guy near the bottom. It ain't over til it's over but things are looking terrible at the moment.

That’s not really the case, though. LSU has 8, A&M 6, Bama 3, UGA 7.

Very few are filling out their class right now

The nature of recruiting is winning 25 battles and losing 200

You can sweat it if you want to but you shouldn’t be surprised to find yourself alone with 9 months yet to go
