Didn't see that. It will be a rocky start for Freeze with our group if he is hired. But if he starts well, it will subside. A little winning and he will be loved by all. People these days are fickle and their morals change as the wins come

It was close to done deal. Cohen signed off, Roberts stopped it because of backlash from the saints.
As I understand it as of this morning the new candidates consist of Mother Teresa, the Pope, Billy Graham Jr., James Dobson. However the Baptist, Methodist and other denominations in Auburn, Montgomery and Birmingham are wanting their preachers as coach.

I just dont believe the talk until they hire a coach. Its very similar to recruits. Until the letter is on the fax machine, its not a done deal
See it too many times and Auburn does this every time

I raised 3 boys. Should have bought a cow. 7-8 gallons of milk a week!
My middle son coaches for a 7A school in Atlanta. Getting worn out going to Friday night games then Auburn on Saturday.
Glad the young man is going to be fine! Seems to be tough like his ole man.

Last I will say.
Freeze is done because of the backlash and that's disappointing to me.
I do know for a fact that coaches in Georgia send their kids to play for Freeze. He IS respected and tells recruits, their families what he did.
With relation to football resume, he has the best qualifications of any coach to ever have been considered by Auburn.
The field is named after Pat Dye. He had a woman in every town from Birmingham to Columbus to Atlanta. Take his name off!
