Hilarious thing is there a topic on the MoreSportsBoard and people are calling the DR the biggest assholes.
Maybe the famous ones / ball players are. Not sure
But looking at the people who worked at the resorts and associated places, they were outstanding. Maybe they just know how to put on a great show but they were very nice and appreciative to us everytime we went. As were the people in the airports.
Flying from the DR airport to Atlanta airport and seeing the difference in the people was a mind frick. The difference is unbelievable.

I've heard lot of bad things about the Atlanta airport. I am willing to do a pit stop in between than go to Atlanta to fly straight to destination.
It's that serious how much I dont want to travel to Atlanta

Most of what you have heard is probably true. I used to fly out of Atlanta when traveling to the UK to visit family. I am now willing to take a longer and less direct route just to avoid it. Atlanta used to be a fairly nice city but has degenerated into a crime infested cesspool. The Nashville airport is a little bit better. I use that one for some flights and the Huntsville airport for others.

It's from clueless travelers. ATL is seriously better than most huge airports, especially on Delta.

Now, traffic and crime in ATL is a different subject. I hate driving to/in/around ATL and it definitely seems less safe than a few years ago.

I have traveled through there lots an lots of times. Though the airport does handle things better than most think, it does not excuse the fact that a lot of the employees there are total shite.
Could care less about anything

Just got through ATL yesterday and yeah it’s super efficient if you know where to go, better than other large airports I have flown through. Employees are just over worked plain and simple. The way I see it is if Jordan Hare had a game everyday, the support staff will be just as burnt out.

Saving this thread from getting knocked off the first page. Ego thing.
Not much longer boys. Season will be here and we will all have a new reason to battle. For now, just working a lot. Business has been good and I have been taking advantage of it....
Hope you are all doing well

Trying to keep packing in our beach days with the kiddo. Summer feels fleeting somehow already
Slowed by an ankle injury so no running. Been doing some swimming and biking. Sand helps, but this one has lingered a while. Certainly getting older

It happens fast
Yesterday, I had oatmeal for breakfast, fed my birds, went for a walk and then got mad at some guy for having his tires on the grass.

Just moving along here. Still working and fishing.
Went to the gym today for the first time in about 7 years.
We will see how my upper body feels about Friday.

Yes sir, I still lurk around every now and then but have taken a pretty big step back from the interwebs. Doing good, been busy as hell. Moved into a new role at work so getting the hang of that, working on this freaking house and hanging with the kids pretty much takes all my time
Been doing some fishing though, mainly dock lights at night. Kids love it. Took the oldest on a charter a few months back and had a ball. He got to crank in a wahoo and I got about a 20 pound king while he was taking a nap

Non-stop work including weekends for the past 4 weeks and counting… worked in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Canada and back to the US just last week and got tasked with another major thing for this week. Fortunately it will all be over tomorrow and plan to take the rest of this week and next week off. Then home for a month at least before trips to EU and then Asia during September which will suck a bit as I was hoping to get to at least a couple of home games, will see how it shakes out. I usually don’t travel much but this year has been rough and time zone changes and airports are not fun in your 40s.

Yea, that happens with kids. I took these two out last week with their grandfather and after a little boat ride and catching a ton of fish in a few hours, it was more than the little guy could take.
