Take your pick. It’s not hard to upgrade from one of the worst QBs in the country.

And if what we have on the roster currently is worse?

OK. So it’s more about the fact that it doesn’t matter as long as Thorne is benched lol.

That costs resources and he may have a longer term plan than watching Cam Ward being made to look like, well, Peyton Thorne due to lack of protection.

Practice vs game is always different. Holy crap, our Qb threw 4 really 5 picks and someone on this board thinks he’s the best we got.

3 of those picks were really bad. The last one is like he threw it to the Cal player who was a few yards away from his receiver. Another was a wounded duck pass.

If he adds just a splash of credibility on the field it would go a long way to really elevate those recruiting efforts another level.

I still think 8-5, and beat one of Missouri or Oklahoma will be enough, but I had us beating Cal. So that shows what I know. Cal just shitted on that theory

Sidebar remember the Cal game last year we said our offense was sluggish because of jetlag lol.

Cam Ward with this WR corps would’ve drug their nuts all over Cal. I guarantee Cal would not have been running bear fronts and blitzing Ward on every play, or he would’ve hung a 50 spot on them.

Hopefully he’s emphasizing where the gaps are and the kids accept that sell on that.

Always the case in rebuild. “We can win here but I need you”

Miami actually has an offensive line to protect him.

You seem to think a good QB can do it all by himself.

You just can’t throw the ball into coverage the way PT did today period. The person you replace him with may not know, the offense as well but they might protect the damn ball.

Or they might be looser with it. Who knows.

You seem to think that a bad QB doesn’t make an Oline look a lot worse than they really are. Once again, there wouldn’t be any 5 man fronts with blitzes if the defense was scared of the QB beating them. That also opens up the run game. Nobody is afraid of PT.

If only I was that young and gullible. There is a reason why Nix and Stidham only routinely threw 18-19 TDs per year. Ward would need more help than just our receivers. Try 4 man fronts beating our line while extra defenders bottling up receivers on slow developers.

No QB no matter how good does well with running for his life by default.

Not near the WRs this team has, and they played for 2 route tree Gus.

There were underneath routes too. Ya boy just refuses to throw it or never sees them.

Bryce Young won the Heisman the same year he was sacked more than any other QB. Players make plays. Fakers throw 5 INTs against a hippie school.

That O line was 10 times more talented than what we’re fielding and he had the best receiving corps in recent memory to boot.

Oh really? Why did they give up so many sacks then?

I don’t know if you know this, but Auburn signed one of the highest ranked WR classes of all time last year. The excuses for the triple pump chump are stale.
