Yeah and is competing for the conference title.. My point was I don't think he is picking up where Fritz left off. It's his own team now.
I wonder why him and not Fritz. He’s done well. Maybe not a good match, I don’t know much about him.

Is Brohm supposed to get me excited?
Maybe not excited but I don't think he is as risky a choice as Sumrall.

So you're saying our players can't transfer during the regular transfer portal that is open to everyone? I assume Auburn players can transfer during the regular portal just like everyone else, and then get another when we make a hire.
You are correct sir.
Five days after a new coach is hired there is a 15 day portal window for any player who wants to, they can enter.

The other side of the portal is us bringing players in. So we'd miss that opportunity, or at least get a late start on speaking to players jumping in from other schools.
Right you are again. So the normal portal window closes, we hire a coach, and then our players leave and we have no ability to replace them.
Im betting they are reuping critical players NIL and we have little attrition. Same reason we have not gone full bore on HS kids this cycle.
Id bet we lock down those on the roster we have to keep. Lock down those committed from HS we want to keep and add a few like the Wells DL, the CB that is committed to stanford that is from GA, a couple of linemen, a RB, and call it a day. Then go to the portal for what we need (I think we will have a coach by then). If we lose some key players, that frees up a lot of money to replace them.

Age is the biggest factor
4-8 year 1
8-2 currently in year 2
Definite program builder
Do not want him but Houston is a great spot for him
