watching " The Baker." I watch a lot of movies. but not too many TV series. I know I will get hooked and binge-watch. I'd love to, but it's a slippery slope so I usually stay away from TV series. ETA - the trailer doesn't come close to telling the story. I personally loved it.

This post probably should be on the Movie / TV Thread board, but I thought I would share it here. It was a good watch. Fun and exciting and pulled a heart-string. I'm always looking for movies to distract me and pull me in for a while. Anyway, if a movie or two can help pass the time and hurt of our stunning loss, then please check it out and let me / us know what you think. War Eagle.

Jiro. War Eagle. Loved the movie.

Loved this: 1:24 / 25:21 1983 Auburn Tigers Football Film: A Return to Glory Best Auburn Jacket, ever. Full stop.

Freshmen Trey Gainous and Yann Cowart, Gregg Carr, Bo, Little Train, Donnie MFing Humphrey, Dowe Aughtman,

I was 13 years old and trying to understand football. Auburn football. Selling programs, loving the kind tips from drunk co-eds too to make a little money that my parents always made me work for, which was and is still a thing. Then getting to watch this team for free in JHS. I still have stadium cups, made in America, and real paper shakers, still in my room. War Eagle always.

RIP Lil' Train He was the Spud Webb of the NFL for several seasons. If Spud Webb, Tommie Agee, Lionel James, Randy Campbell, Gregg Carr, Donney Humphrey don't ring a bell, it's okay. Young and ignorant. Feel free to play on my lawn until you start to frick it up. I'm more than okay, as a dog owner, to pick up dog shite and say nothing for a very long time. I am also, as an adult, open to welcoming children and grandchildren, adopted or not, into our family. BUT, a sense of responsibility comes with that. A view of "your?????" Auburn family from past to present? Jang, no hate. Just differences of opinion. If you want to be recognized and accepted as an Auburn fan in the Au family, then understand your age and place. I will tell my two teenage kids the exact same thing. 2) It's fine, expected to disagree with other Au Fam / fans, coaches, etc. But often times, it is best to quiet for a while (I'm trying to show you an example).

There is no "test" as to whether any fan is a member of what many of us consider to be the Auburn Family. It really is not a high bar, and we are very, very accepting. Degree or not. Connections / history or not. It's not that hard. But it is very important. Like a marriage. War Eagle, friends. For today at least, that includes you Jangalang. Let's all try to be better. That is also a big part of the Auburn Spirit.

I checked out the trailer for THE BAKER on your recommendation, Jiro.

It’s definitely looks like the kind of movie that’s definitely in my wheelhouse of cinematic taste.

The fact that it stars both Ron Pearlman and Harvey Keitel alone makes it obligatory that I’ve GOTTA check it out now.

As long as we’re talking about movies that may help distract us and temporarily “check out” from our current mutual woes of being Auburn fans…I humbly suggest watching NOBODY starring Bob Odenkirk.

I thought NOBODY was fantastic, and the trailer for THE BAKER looks like it puts it squarely in the same genre.

Just my .02 cents.

Thanks for the rec, Jiro….War Damn, My Man

Cheers, Bus and Board. I always check Rotten Tomatoes and imdb for others' reviews before possibly wasting 2 hours.

Recently watched "Frybread Face and Me". Imdb 7.3, which is usually watch-worthy. Great drama. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13365482/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_2_nm_0_q_flybread%2520fa

Also watched the new "Hunger Games..something something" movie. I think it is set 56 years before the original Games movie and gives a lot of the politics, people and back-story of how and why the Districts were separated and how they began. I liked it. Suspense / drama / thriller.

I've recently become a big fan of "Please Don't Destroy". If you have a big fattie or blunt and just want a fun, dumb-arse, entertaining movie, I hope you'll be satisfied with a few laughs and dumb, funny shite. It's a fun, entertaining watch. Nothing too deep. Something like a modern Goonies, but the kids are grown (maybe;-). If you have never heard or watched any of PDD comedy, please YouTube. One of the 3 is Higgs' son, Jimmy Fallon's sidekick. One of the others is a former SNL writer's son. Not much amuses me anymore, but they do. PDD and the story. Hopefully worth a watch. Cheers

I usually watch movies on Tinklepad or 123 movies. Tinkle pad usually has subtitles and put your cursor on any movie or TV series available and it will pull up an imdb rating when possible. It takes llonger for new releases, and trailers.

If anyone gives these movies a watch and likes / dislikes them, please let me know. I'm more than happy to start and keep an updated movie thread here, if anyone is interested. The OT / Movie thread is what is. Feel free to check it out.

War Eagle. FTR, I prefer well-done: biographies / history / war, action / adventure, drama, very few comedies. I gave up on most horror / zombie attempts a while ago.

"Napoleon" was decent to good IMO.

Hope you enjoy. Copium;-). Jiro

If you don't have one, you should probably have / get a VPN.

It's a classic role for him, though he doesn't appear too much during the movie, but he and the Baker have a problem that must be fixed. Karma, I guess. Please let the credits roll to find out.

ETA - I was never any big Ron Pearlman fan I guess until the Avengers, but he is great in this movie and has definitely become a much better actor with age, experience and different roles. He delivered. Meet me at Cyber-Sonic if you want;-). WDE. BTW, it seems this movie was Canadian-produced. There are a ton of great Canadian and UK films that may fly under the radar and should not be missed.

They have a skits on each SNL now, usually with the guest. I think they could also help write for SNL now. I didn’t think they still put out stuff on YouTube since joining SNL.

If you've never seen Harvey Keitel in Bad Lieutenant, you should watch it. He is a really bad lieutenant.
