Agreed. Don’t get me wrong. His recruiting has to get better this year but I love his mentality overall and have even before this. It’s gonna be extremely tough for him to get past this but if Auburn fans won’t get behind him after this, honestly, they can frick right on off. He may get canned in 2 years. And that’s ok. But what he went through this last week is the biggest bullshite any college coach has seen since I can remember. The rumors and bullshite that he just had to maneuver through would have had most people saying frick y’all I’m out. I will always back our coaches until they prove they shouldn’t be, but Harsin has my respect more than any coach outside of Bruce that I’ve seen at Auburn since I’ve started religiously following (2001ish)

I do think he is learning what it takes, hope it is not too late.
Let’s see his reception at the basketball game. (Yes he will be there)
He will be recruiting more, that was happening before the investigation. He was also somewhat humbled by 0-4 on signing day. He is losing players he wanted to keep. He has a tremendous Ego that saw coaches leave.
Very curious who he hires as OC and the contract they get.

Not replying to you specifically but one of my great concerns going back to last summer is how a portion of our fanbase seems so infatuated with the fact that he talks like their old HS coach and/or comes across like a Billy Bad arse. I could careless about any of that...Harsin did what his lawyer told him to do in this situation during the review. That's not bad arse, that's smart. Something I haven't said about many of his decisions as our coach.
Ultimately I don't care how our coach speaks. We need competent decision making at all levels of our program. That is lacking right now. I am pulling for him to figure it out, he is Auburn's coach. My concern he won't hasn't changed.

The alternative to not coaching at the best school he will ever be at is collecting an 18 million dollar check. It was a win win situation so don’t understand this thread.
Yep. Recruiting is dead. It's 2/22/2022 and we don't have an OC. Harsin probably hates everyone in upper administration, and they aren't very fond of him.
Could've fired him, paid the $18 million, and started over. Instead, we are going to pay him the $18 million over time, destroy the football program for a few years, then fire him.
Either way, Harsin is getting his money. I am of the belief that really rich people, for the most part, are intelligent. I am reevaluating that assessment of our wealthy king-makers on the BOT.

The built in excuses are starting for football games/national signing day already.
This next season is gonna be tough on the harsin fanbois

I will never understand the miserable lads on here that want us to fail, it’s soooo pathetic.
Nobody knows what’s going to happen going forward. Especially after this first month of this year.

I don't think anyone wants us to fail. It's more like, "I'm going to race in the Daytona 500, but my car only has 3 wheels"

We are a trash program. Hope harsin takes every penny he gets.

Just how I wanted it to happen. Stay or get the full buyout if fired. Now he'll be coaching pissed off, and the players will feed off of that.

Nah, some actively root for us to fail so they can act like they were right the whole time. Cowardly to the max

This isn’t a superhero movie where captain America beats up the bad guy harder once he’s mad.
He’s a mediocre coach and if he’s pissed off he’s just gonna be a mad mediocre coach.

Yeah, there's absolutely no way that recruiting was going to improve from year 1 to year 2. That's hysterical

I think we all can agree, that we aren't gonna see a top 10 recruiting class for a very long time. We aren't going to get an OC or DC that is above average. Even if one wanted to come to Auburn, their salary requirement won't be met. PTB aren't going to shell out the money, with Harsin on such thin ice.
We are doomed to get bargain-basement players and coaches going forward.

Maybe? But you don’t know that for sure. I’m not going to act like currently it looks like we’re about to start lighting it on fire, but ya never know. People refuse to just wait and see. Like they can predict the future. If we’re in a similar spot this time next year, then you can melt

PTB regarding his inability to recruit and or hire good coordinators
Not his players. Wait until he has his players.
The players leaving are soft.
Even saban had attrition the first few years!
I’ll add more as I think of them, but there’s a start to twist yourself into a pretzel with for now.
