You can not criticize Bruce.
I think everyone on here acknowledges the best aspect of Bruce is his recruiting and ability to create interest and that x’s and o’s aren’t his best traits. We just aren’t dumb enough to think every practice is a shoot around and he just trots them out in games and let’s them do their own thing like some people here like to imply.
We all know Bruce isn’t perfect and isn’t even the best coach in the conference, but we also know he’s at the worst program in the conference.

We could withstand a bad shooting night last year because we got to the free throw line and hit them. That’s really the main difference in this team.
Totally agree. Team just isn't as good as last year, but maybe they will figure it out before too late.

Dude, stfu this is a good defensive team. Auburn leads all P5 teams in turnovers forced and turnover margin
LOL cherry pick much? Auburn is shite on D. I don't know where they sit nationally but I would bet we aren't anywhere near top 50 in scoring D or opponent fg%.
Our bigs keep fouling out because they're constantly out of position.

Pace and space is the name of the game Most teams in the nba play that way, that why the old school bigs are dead... Develop a three and stretch the lane big fella so guards can work
Great post. We space the floor but don't have the ball movement or dribble drives to get open looks. We also lack a big that can step outside to free up the paint.
Mac and Spencer are not talented enough to be an asset on offense. Silva showed last night what a real "big" looks like

This is why we've struggled. In the NBA, almost everyone is threat to drive and score around the basket so you can't just defend the three point line. We have a bunch of guys you can't leave open for three, but that's all you have to defend. We could torch a zone team, but most teams are going to play us tight to take away an easy shot, and dare us to beat them off the drive.

Good points here too.
I think people who complain about Bruce's x's and o's are missing something. I think he can do the on floor coaching too, but CBP knows, right now, where is best players are. And they are our PG and SG. so we basically win when those 2 are putting up double digits, and hitting a good number of 3's.
Chuma is not a banger. Neither are our bigs (Spencer and McLemore). Spencer is better with quicker big men, and playing D. Anferee is an excellent shot blocker, and agility on alley-oops. But none of these guys can stay with power inside players like KY and USC had.
Pearl thought he had Wiley, and don't forget he hoped the other good inside defender recruited couldn't qualify early (can't remember his name).
Right now our inside guys are fouling too much, and not able to contribute down the stretch around the basket. (how can 2 guys foul out like that playing the same position? geez...)
