Only thing this team doesn’t have is an elite point guard that can get to the rim late in shot clocks in tight games. Pettiford can but in a close game his defense isn’t good enough. Denver has the defense but not the ability off the drive.
I guess in those situations you run motion to get the ball to CBM with about 10 seconds on the shot clock and let him work

Pettiford should get better through conference play as he sees more. He may not be elite defensively ever, let alone this season, but I’m optimistic

Off subject a little… can someone explain to me the basketball poll voters love affair with Tennessee?
