Right and the one he focused on about everyone being aligned Auburn can do great things is a correct one.

Anyone believing everyone was aligned during Harsin’s tenure is high AF and delusional. Dude failed and now gone. Time for a new chapter.

Honestly, can’t remember. Might have had a minor disagreement during the whole Bryan Harsin and Covid-19 jab, or something like that.

For example, after Harsin made his statement about the firing, Lee’s article was something like “Quit making excuses Harsin”. Even though it was a pretty classy statement from Harsin that didn’t make any excuses.

I have never heard of Justin Lee or read anything he wrote. I also am just glad Harsin is gone and don't really care what he has to say or read too much into it but his statement definitely had some excuses built into it.

Complaining about dealing with "outside noise", statements like "with proper alignment" etc... are definitely trying to insinuate he wasn't fully to blame.

Harsin has been seen by many as intentionally damaging the Auburn program. I concur. I cant even stand the sight of Harsin for that very reason. Have a look at any college teams sideline during a game and their coaching staffs activities.. compare them with the departing Harsin staffs activities. There is no comparison.

I disagree. I think they were simply too incompetent to know any better. Most of that staff had never been East of Colorado. And Harsin is egotistical to the degree that he thought his relative success at Boise State would translate to Auburn. The program definitely needs a culture change when it comes to attitude, but it does also need contact with reality. The Boise mindset was not going to work at Auburn; and Harsin was too prideful to acknowledge that. That was his downfall.

I care about the players.

Anyone doing that to the players that I support is NEVER worthy of support

Football is football.

I think they came to not support Auburns players after they placed the players BEHIND their own battle to Auburn and the Auburn culture after their personal lives came into question - and the vendetta was on.

An interesting comment from Paul Finebaum - "If Tank Bigsby had stayed in bounds last year at J-H the firing was NEVER happening"

I think that is true, The attacks of Harsins lifestyle issues would have never surfaced. The incompetence would have become an issue at some point - IF Harsin didnt pick up a clue about what SEC football is about.

That particular play in that particular game showed why Harsin should not have been the coach at Auburn. He stood there stonefaced where every FCKG coach should have been telling Bigsby to stay inbounds. They did NOTHING of the sort.

That demonstrates incompetence which at that time WAS THE ISSUE. That one play was symptomatic of the disease that was created.

and that issue was the reason for the asskicking that Auburn PTB were seeking to deliver for the incompetence.

The incompetence then became secondary.

It grew into the divorce between Harsin AND ALL OF AUBURN UNIVERSITY that was inevitable.

Justin is a good follow for the non Big-3 sports. He does put out good content in women’s basketball, gymnastics and such. He is whiney. I remember when he whined about the lack of fans in womens basketball.

I just wonder what nerve BH touched to get under his skin so bad

What do you mean? He should bother all of us. The guy happily took his check while not trying to build the program then tried to burn it to the ground on his way out.

If a snake is in your chicken coop, you run it off with a vengeance.

I think the reality is a bunch of the beat writers were biting their tongues to stay in the good graces of the program.
