ETA: and I'm still curious who your favorite metal bands of all time are since you have been so critical thus far.

There are so many genres of rock and metal is not really my top category. Grunge/Post Grunge and New rock is what I prefer but if i had to pick one its black sabbath.

Of course not. Never stated otherwise.

have a nice sound

I'll disagree here. I don't want my guitar chord to have a bad sound, so a good sound is sort of required.

As most of the players are black and most of the students are white, something that crosses both metal/rap/hiphop would be appropriate. There should be several modern examples of this are there not?

First sensible thing you've said so far. Though, how you can be a Sabbath fan an laugh at Metallica and Iron Maiden is beyond comprehension.

Lol wut?

You were the one that said a chord doesn't have to sound good. I disagree, it does need to sound good.

But since you asked, I don't think the opening chord for ladies and gentleman is all that good.

There are some decent rap/rock remixes that would work.

I always enjoyed the Crazy Train/ Let's Go remix played a few years back. Something for everyone.

Sensible to you, not to everyone. They don't sound the same I hope you know. Metallica has some good songs but they also have PLENTY of shitty ones and albums. Not a fan of Madien. Their music is pretty terrible IMO.

Sabbath is classic.

Wait what where in my quote does it say the chord doesn't have to sound good? You serious? It said it doesn't have to be complicated to have a nice sound. Where did you get that from?

Well no shite, but Maiden and Sabbath are actually pretty similar.

PLENTY of shitty ones

So has every band, including sabbath.

Sabbath is classic.

Madien. Their music is pretty terrible IMO

Again, does not compute. Two of the greatest metal bands of that era and genre and of all time. Both are classics.

Just went back an looked at that. I misread it. I read the "to" as "or" before you said have a good sound. My bad there.

Sorry guys,

Didn't mean to completely shite on the thread. It's been a long week, and I don't deal well with people with unfortunate opinions well on Friday afternoons. I'll shut up now.

Here is a hot chick as an apology

No prob.

I jusr don't think Sabbath and Madien sound that much alike. Different sounds and singers IMO and Ozzy blows other dude out of the water.

Maiden sucks? Ozzy blows Dickinson out of the water?

They don't sound anything alike.

Uh, how? Ozzie was a great singer in his day, but vocally, he can't hold a candle to Bruce Dickinson. They're not even close to being on the same level.
