He is not the only guy who ever recruited well at Auburn and he wont be the last.
Doenst matter how many guys he gets if he cant coach them.

I’ve only seen this level of recruiting at Auburn once in my life, and that was during the Chiz/Trooper/Luper years. Granted, I don’t really remember the Dye years, but he was loading up the NFL during his time.

Why on earth Freeze gets a pass for his own QB is dumbfounding.
That being said, a top tier QB isn’t coming to the dumpster fire that Hugh has going here. He will have to overpay for a mid-tier guy.

I’ll do a 6 month ban bet that we don’t get a top 10 portal QB, based on 247 portal rankings. I’d prefer to do the cutoff so that the QB is in for spring semester and practice, but if you want it open for the April portal window when Hugh gets crazy desperate with other people’s money that’s fine.
ETA: even if we sign a top 10 guy you’ll still have a hard on for some awful backup anyways, so not sure why you care.

He is a shite coach and more talent is not going to make him better. He will never coach the talent to the level it should be coached to

Yup, I’ve seen all that. I’ve also seen shite QB play break some pretty good coaches and seen great QB play make some mediocre coaches look like geniuses too. Look no further than this season with Crystalballs.
