This isn't the game I wanted him to lose. I've got it on but the ole lady got home early so I ain't been paying attention. I couldn't tell you what's going on offense for them.

Let’s see if Brohm makes some second half adjustments. Second half adjustments are something we haven’t seen at Auburn since Chiz.

Why would 1 game matter don’t hire a coach after a game or 2 result.

It doesn’t. I was just saying if Brohm comes out with good adjustments, which it’s looking pretty good so far, that’s something we haven’t seen at Auburn in a looooong time.

If we can't hire Durkin because he lost a game because of one bad defensive effort we shouldn't hire Brohm because he lost a game because of one bad offensive effort.

Not only did Durkin have to coach his defense he had to instill a heart in a team to play together and believe. He allowed the offense to be released from a losing mentality.

BTW Durkin revealed that other teams are already trying to lure our players away. Another reason to keep him.

Players are going to be poached in all cases, we fired our coach lol.

NIL means we can "rebuild" thru transfers just as fast as they are lost (it would still stink to lose them).

Durkin already has a failing HC record. There are plenty of bad defensive efforts out there.

College coaches get rehabed all the time including Sark and current golden boy Kiffen.

Durkin has lost a lot more games than last night. It’s not just a one time sample. He has an all time loser record. Your gotcha post doesn’t make sense.

So, we should take a shortcut and probably sacrifice another 3 years of bad coaching for players that will be gone in a couple of years anyway? Seems shortsighted to me.

Coaching has always been a 'What have you done lately' business. This season, until last night Durkin had not allowed a team to score more than 24 points, behind an anemic offense. Last night he was the head coach that allowed an offensive coordinator to do what Auburn pays a offensive coordiantor to do. Something many condemed Gus in part of his tenure and Hugh for. He found away to restore this teams heart. Something many congratulated Coach Caddy to do after the failed experiment with the Potatoe Farmer. Everybody is saying lets just clean house. I do not want to see us throw the baby out with the bathwater. This time if the baby is thrown out some of our super players on the team might leave at the same time.

Rumors on anothe board is that Durkin just wants to be a DC if so lets find a coach that canwork with him.

Players are transient now, some might leave no matter what coach is hired. I would love for them to stay, but if I was Cam Coleman I would pack my bags for a place that showcases WRs and not gamble on Auburn for a 3rd time.

There is no guarantee either way. With a hire that ticks off the players and they leave because we got the next name might cause us to go another three year crap show.

Should we be so quick to dismiss this surprise by nix?

Wonder why Lane would re-tweet that. Also, while I'm not denying that there was a drastic improvement, let's remember that Vandy has a bad defense. Manning put up career numbers against them, too.

Because Nix was on Kiffin’s staff at Ole Miss? Nix was actually contractually obligated to call plays at his next job if he left Ole Miss which I think is why Hugh gave the spiel about different play callers on different downs when we all knew/saw who called the plays.

Kiff is just giving him props.

because he was well aware that, despite being told Nix would get playcalling duties, that Freezus had no intention of turning the reins over to him

pretty sure the only reason Ole Kiff released Nix from his contract was because of Freezus’ deception on that score
