Former BB Coach Bob Davis has passed at 93.

Story here

He had some great players: Mitchell, E. J., Pietkiewicz, Patrick, Bolden, Cattage, Price, Redding, and the unforgettable Jeff Adams.

Definitely not the worst BB coach we’ve had. He lived a long life!

I remember him coming in when I was in school at Auburn in the 70s. After watching Auburn play basketball under Bill Lynn was excruciating and when Davis came in, we started to recruit some top players. He really could recruit at times.

And don't forget some of the unknowns that played for him like Dom Fucci (our KY connection), Tall Glen Moon, Wayne Bracy, Earl Banks, etc

What was forgotten is he was coach of the year one year in the SEC.

This hire actually got us started in showing we could be competitive in basketball.

Interesting note about Coach Davis...I don't think he ever coached again after being let go from Auburn....
