Why was Brandon King moved from safety this late,
It is my understanding that when we play dime both Garrett and Therezie will be on the field together. We need depth at both spots but against a pass happy team like WSU we will probably play a lot of dime so the need was greater there.
WTF is wrong with you guys? We lose one starter for the 1st few games and a backup CB and all the sudden we have the suck again. I'm not buying it. We still going to the ship bishes.

When you are as thin as we are, it is sort of a big deal. I think we will be fine, but it is t something to just shrug off.

True but there are some damn lemmings jumpin off the cliff here.
Every team has injuries. So we moved a RB to CB...he played that in HS, so it should not be a huge deal. If 24/7 listed him as an athlete and not a RB, nobody would have cared.

Very true. I'm more concerned with the DL injuries than anything else.
The DB's, if the TFr. Have to play, so be it. Let them go out there and get tested. Long term it will be great for us.

Anyone else besides Ford?
Sucks for him but Lawson and Daniel are or at least shoul dbe better than anyone else on the roster.

Ford has been banged up. Looks like Nero and Nosa are hurt too. Don't know how long they will be out.
As I said, we will probably be fine, but I just don't like seeing this many injuries so close to the season.

Am I missing something or hasn't our secondary been the strongest part of the defense since the spring
Is that really saying much?

Not my fault this time. I dropped my phone and it shattered the screen. It kinda does what it wants now.

Sorry to hear that.

Nosa are hurt too
Ken Carter is back after battling an injury. So is Nosa Eguae. Both of those guys will start against Washington State.

Carter and Equae will start, because they're seniors in their last home opener. The younger guys (Owens, Lawson, Daniel, maybe Delanie) will get most of the play time, I suspect.

Carter had a concussion and was out for a bit and Nosa was out as well with an unknown injury, but per AUC, both are back at practice now.
So, basically the only two players that we know will be out for the first game are Dee Ford and Jonathan Jones. Garrett, Carter and Eguae will be fine. Not sure about Nero, but you're always going to have guys getting "dinged up" in fall camp. Most of them aren't serious, and we should be pretty close to full strength for the first game.

When you run preseason practices the way they should be ran you are going to have to deal with a few injuries. Chiziks style of limiting contact keeps you healthy but doesn't prepare the players for the season. Tubs ran physical camps and always had a few injuries to deal with but other than the occasional inability to complete a forward pass we looked like a football team when the season started.

Lawson and Daniels have a lot to learn but that just tells you the untapped potential there. My Dad who was a RANGER in Vietnam and is 6'-05" and 250 lbs said that Adams was scary looking up close.

Carter Eguaue and Sanders bring nothing to the table against WSU. Let those guys play against MSU LSU ect.. let Lawson loose on WSU

Tubbs also had a few people injured since he was practicing on the intramural fields IIRC.

They really only were on the intramural fields for the first couple practices, so people could go out and watch. I think the injuries had more to do with the physical nature of the practices than anything else.
You want to get these guys ready to play with some pain, even if that means a couple guys get banged up a little bit. Every team has guys that are going to to do it and ideally you don't have any injuries, but it's going to happen when you go at it as many times as they have in the last three weeks. I don't think Chizik's practices were as physical as what we're getting now and you see the results in the defenses we had the last few years.
