We forced 19 punts all season. Less than half of the 41 we were forced to punt. 3rd down has to improve or it's wasted money IMO

what a moronic take

Gus's HUNH changed the game of football to the point where NFL teams were running his play designs. Saban even petitioned the NCAA to change the rules to stop Gus, then eventually adopted the HUNH himself! Turmoil? Gus brought us a couple SEC championships and a natty appearance. His issue was not adapting, being predictable and not sticking to a mobile Qb.

Freeze is still yet to prove he is a guru on offense so labeling him a guru is not apropos

And then 2014 turned over to 2015 and Gus mostly fielded one of the worst, least productive offenses in the SEC as an offensive minded HC. You love playing the victim card with myself and Corch but you sure bring your asswhippings to yourself. Go nitpick someone else dimwit and make sure you are fricking right.

Freeze has always been the RPO guru and those offenses thrived at Ole Miss.

Did you miss the issues of not sticking with a mobile Qb, being predictable and not adapting? No of course you didnt.

Amazing how you get dunked on and called out and immediately think you are winning somehow or making a valid point.

Dont think anyone has called him an offensive guru. Maybe in your mind though

I was not thrilled when the hire was made. His D improved over the course of the season. I am glad we have him. The O side of the ball needs to take a pay cut. Special Teams coach owes us money.

So how was my take moronic? Did an offensive minded coach not lead a train wreck of an offense in multiple years following 2014. Stop being retarded.

You dont even know what you are dunking on, retard.

He used to be considered one. Yes. From you:

This team is ready. With Hugh Freeze calling the plays and Durka Durkin putting that mahommad jihaad on the opposing offenses. Were a lock for the playoffs!

Baylor is going to be an inflection point. If we win and look good, we’re off to the races and will win 8-9 games.

If we lose that game, but the defense looks good Freeze’s seat becomes scorching hot and DJ starts looking like a coach in waiting.

Still doesn't seem right. We might have only returned 19 punts but there has to be kicks that rolled out of bounds or something. But if the opponent punted 61 times then 19 is a low number of returns. However we only gave up 8 returns.

LINK

Punt: Total Yards
Auburn 41 - 1741
Opponents 61 - 2645

Dude you and singleMalt both cheerleaded Freeze to Auburn during the coaching search primarily because of his success at Ole Miss and Liberty due to his playcalling, success developing Malik, and so on. If you want me to go back and show you receipts I will.

Once in 5 years he got us within 34th in the country in PPG, however in the last three games of the season he averaged 20 ppg.

How about in 2020 when we were 85th in PPG? Pitiful Arkansas even ranked ahead of us.

Also you:

quote:

This is the first year Freeze has ever handed over the reigns to his offense. I contend that one of the main reasons Auburn hired Freeze was because his offenses were potent against SEC defenses. If he isnt calling the plays and we start to lose, will he take over the play calling and do you think he should take over before SEC play begins?
