I think it's Cristobal simply for the fact he isn't under Sexton's skirt, which would allow for Auburn to have discreet conversations.

Let's be real here, whoever is funding the $20m + new coach salary is making this hire.

No person/groups of people putting together$20m+ are going to not be involved with what their $ is buying

Very cool. Love knowing that we sell our souls so easily.

It's that way everywhere.

When I was home from Auburn. I lived across the hall from one. When Barfield was run out ...they were down to Dye and Dooley. He would make small talk at breakfast ...."What do you think?" (As if my opinion mattered.) After a few weeks,
he finally asked "What do think about Dooley and Dye?" "Considering you recruited Dooley, I'll tell you I think about Dye. Anyone that can win at East Carolina and Wyoming, can win anywhere."
"He's your next coach, don't say a word, the contracts are not signed yet."

He would get calls, close the door to his office while I was waiting in the secretarial pool for the ride home. 45-90 minutes later come out, apologize and say "Call from Auburn" then nothing more. It was not until late in the process that the discussions occurred in the breakfast room.

Shhhhhhiiiit! I was just kidding about the “Promote Kevin Steele to full time.”

Talk show in Montgomery said the Bo is back on the committee and is pushing hard for Steele. Why?

Was Steele trying to undermine Gus the whole time?

Quentin Riggins was part of the reason that we gave Malzahn that ridiculous contract. How does he get a seat at the table again?

If I was Greene I would resign 10 mins before the press conference if they go with Comb-Over Kevin.

Or does he go the Jay Jacobs chicken shite route and form a “search committee”

If I were Allen Greene, there is no way I would make that decision on my own, even if I could. AU HC is almost as bad a job as POTUS in that half the people already hate you on Day One (AU does pay better though). If things don't go well, the masses are coming for the AD too.
