As much as you want to hate on CD, he hasn't met expectations but he hasn't been terrible. Better than almost every non Chris Davis CB1 we've had since Tubz

After the Cox pass in the Iron Bowl, I commented to my friend that Gus is convinced he's coaching for the Harlem Globetrotters. So I'd say AU is well-coached in the way the Globetrotters are well-coached, except Gus doesn't realize the Generals aren't on the schedule every week. We're better this season on fundamentals overall, but fundamentals aren't what killed multiple offensive drives for us.
And while our defense is leaps and bounds better than its been in years, I'm still concerned about our coaching in the secondary. I suppose technically they're playing fundamentally sound on intermediate & long routes, but the DBs seem to lack that sixth sense when the ball is nearing the WRs hands. Maybe that can't be coached, though. Fortunately, our pass rush prevents many of those balls from being accurate, so it hasn't been a major cause of concern (yet, anyway)...
It's possible we're better coached this year from a discipline standpoint, but I did notice in several games that the refs seemingly decided to just let both teams play (barring any too-obvious infractions), so there's that too....for every "man, the refs hosed us on that play!", there seemed to be a "whew, we got away with that one" to counter it, lol....

Well you better tell that to NFL coaches, he has started at CB in the NFL and made an active roster 3 straight years despite injury issues.
But what do NFL coaches know? Or CFB coaches for that matter who put him 2nd team All SEC along with the AP

Defensively yes. QBs and WRs definitely a no.

Yes. The issues with AU are easily fixable with a change up at OC. Overall the team is very solid.
