That makes 4 today. Jarrett Eaton, Everett Lau, and Troy Bearden too.

Are any of those expected to be major losses? I don't watch the baseball team enough to recognize their names, but the article I read said 3 of them played a little bit this year

quote:

Gray was an opening weekend starter for the Tigers, but saw his role diminish greatly as he struggled. He did not pitch in the NCAA Tournament. On the season, Gray, a JUCO transfer, had a 4.98 ERA in 21.2 innings.

Lau, a junior, hit .250 in 40 at-bats this season, including a walkoff single in the final home game of the season. He played in 19 games and had eight starts. He was a JUCO transfer.

Eaton, also a freshman, was primarily used as a pinch-runner. He played in 14 games, scored six runs, and had two stolen bases. Bearden was also a freshman, and was the former No. 12 player in Alabama out of high school, according to Perfect Game.

Gunner Henderson to sign with O’s for 2.3 million.

Edit) apparently the slot value was around 1.7 million. So apparently the O’s made sure they signed him.

I saw a thread on tRant a day or two ago about FSU going after Butch. (I never thought he would leave because we are paying more than FSU can afford) They named Mike Martin Jr. their HC today.

That is all.

Glad to hear because FSU is a powerhouse in baseball. Are they broke?

McKayla Martin’s appeal was denied by the NCAA.

What did she appeal?

She played in one more game than the limit for a medical redshirt. Her appeal was denied, so her Auburn career is over.

Notoriously stingy on coaching salaries, I believe.

They have been hurting financially for quite a few years now. It was probably six or seven years ago, but they had to let a bunch of assts go in various sports.

Coburn has been proactive with his strategy as FSU works to overcome an operating deficit that hovered at $3.6 million last year and is projected to be similar this year.

Samantha Yarborough, softball player from South Alabama and former 7A player of the year at Fairhope is transferring to Auburn as a sophomore and will have immediate eligibility.

She had a 6-9 record last year as a freshman with a 4.71 era and 103 strikeouts in 92 innings pitched.

She only had three AB last year, but our staff sees her as a two way player.

I'm kinda done with our softball staff, but if they think this girl can help then bring her on.

I’m willing to give him a chance to get his own players. He inherited a bunch of women feeling every other way about the previous staff, thus chemistry issues. Dean is huge on team building exercises and he couldn't even overcome the mess.

So the Twins had to strike out on signing a player or players in higher slot to free up that money, right? That sucks

The twins had to get guys they drafted in the top 10 rounds to take less money than their slot value in order to have enough money to give to Julien that was over the cap of $125k.

To put this in perspective, including Julien there were a grand total of two guys to sign for over $125k and were drafted rounds 11-40.
