I understand why you might choose to go for 2 earlier, but you do that if momentum is on your side and you're hitting on all cylinders, not when you're limping to the finish line and need whatever psychological lift you can get. In other words, the team blowing a 28-3 lead had no business trying a 2-pt conversion in that situation...

That doesnt make sense.

You just stopped the bleeding and the momentum may be shifting so u go for the 2 pt conv bc you just scored and keeps the pressure on them.

It can work both ways depending on your opinion.

And tbh I would look at a lot of other issues which got us in that situation in the first place.

After thinking about it, is it possible we went for 2 earlier because if we made it, then scored another time, we might've gone for 2 again, since maybe Harsin felt Nix wasn't gonna be capable enough for OT because of his ankle? Who knows...

One of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever seen made. There was over 3 minutes on the clock and 3 timeouts left.

In the end it might not matter but you keep your team in the game as long as possible there is no analytical thought or plan that says go for 2 on the first of 2 needed scores.

Again, maybe Harsin was planning on going for 2 both times, in hopes of deciding it in regulation. Perhaps he felt like Bo wasn't gonna last any longer than that. But I haven't heard him address it post-game because I'm still too salty to check, so his reasoning could be totally different. I'm also still salty about the targeting call, because that was a huge deflator too...
