For what now? Other than being a month in and already being the 2nd worse hire ever?

Ahh, yes. Cohen, who I was told had a great resume and was a solid hire.

I feel like we are about to see Greene part 2.

Not directed at Poker, but with regards to Dabo....

We cannot wait. Who is to say that we wait and he changes his mind? Then we miss all of December waiting for him to finish the bowl game.

That being said - I think our writers are full of shite and know nothing about Dabo

Dabo isn't coming. Neither is Meyer

Seriously, if we can’t pull off hiring Lane, how could we pull off hiring Dabo?

I would quit watching the little of AU football that I do now if we did this. Dabo has done extremely well, but I could not take seeing him on an AU sideline and hearing his goofy/stupid speeches.

I get that we're fresh off the heels of the worst coaching hire in the history of the university because of AG, but writing off Cohen simply because no one knows what's going on behind the scenes is unfair, IMO. There could be some very valid reasons for not making an announcement yet (and certainly some not-so-valid reasons).

I totally agree this could end up being a disaster and Cohen will take the full force of the Auburn fanbase's wrath. But if he goes up to the podium tomorrow, for example, and announces Coach Deion Sanders as our next head coach - are you going to still think he's a terrible hire?

Gotta be patient. It doesn't always happen along our preferred timeline.

It can’t get any worse than hiring a coach cause you rubbed weiners in a hot tub.

I’m not writing him off for that. I didn’t like the hire to begin with. Nothing jumped out to me as a great hire. More of a “meh, we need someone and he is willing to accept.”

Well, if that happens—it won’t—then I’ll gladly eat crow.

I know Jyrdis approves of Prime. So used that as an example. I understand many others would disagree. So, insert your own favorite candidate in there to illustrate the point.

I will acknowledge his super genius level IQ and implement 54- point plans in everything I do.

I do remember you were pretty meh on him, and that’s okay. I still think we poached him from State and he did some good things there. I’m optimistic that he makes the hire that is worth the wait. After all, wheels should’ve been quietly put in motion post Penn State game.

We will see.
