I wouldnt hate the Franklin hire but let's not kid ourselves.
Before this season Franklin was 67-34 @ PSU coming off 4Wand 7W seasons.
For comparison, Auburn fired Gus after going 67-35 while at Auburn playing in the SEC West

i dont get the dislike of prime and james franklin. Prime would instantly make Auburn the biggest draw in the college football and would bring in talent equal to or better than bama-uga and Franklin won at Vandy and has been very good at penn state.

Did we officially offer him? Did I miss an actual link or was the offer he turned down more "insider info" I read multiple times no offer would be made until after the Iron Bowl.

Just seems like he doesn’t have a plan if we haven’t announced within the next day or two. At least not a good plan. Nebraska and Wisconsin clearly had their guys locked up, why didn’t we? Both of those hires are home runs, too.

to Cohen cause I’m sorry Kiffin hasn’t shown me he’s the type of coach that deserves a “name your price” contract. Let OM overpay him and be happy with 8-4 every year.

I will say we whiffed if we end up hiring someone like Jeff Grimes instead of spending a little extra to get Kiffin. It’s all relative I guess. I forgot we walked away, that’s my bad. Let’s hope Cohen sticking to his guns pays off… I respect it

Agreed. And that’s why Lane threw himself a pity party. He didn’t want to stay at old piss, but he asked for too much.

Fickell was my #1 from the start so I’m bummed about that, but it was a long shot to begin with. You’re right - still got a little hope out there!

So weird that nothing is coming out. And hasn’t really ever come out this whole time.
The Kiffin stuff was all ole miss people reporting. The freeze stuff may have been auburn but I’m not sure. I think Hugh wants it bad so it may have been his side of things.

We won 17 games in 3 years because we weren't picky last go round and let a rogue AD hire the potato boys. If Bama hired Harsin they'd burn his house down, because they're picky.

This. We are that ok looking girl that thinks she is hot. Again, traditional 8 win program/ top 20 in the country but want to be super picky on the coach.
