This frickin board.

Mullen, Freeze, and Kiffin will never happen.

I could get on board with the Deion shot of adrenaline but do get scared about his ability to run a long term program - we need stability.

My target would be Sam Pittman. His recruiting at UGA incredible. I was a hater and called it a bad hire at Arky, but look at them. We need that blue collar mentality back, and at the very least make Arky pay him way over market to keep him like they did to us with Tubberville and Gus.

Yeah! Auburn should definitely take the advice of Paul Finebaum!

Damn! You are one gullible SOB!

Has said before if he didn't get the Ark job he would have retired after another 2-3 years at UGA. Also said Ark will be the last job he has and he's retiring when he's done there.

The "Coach Prime Time" advocates can be grouped in with people who follow the Kardashians, instantly jump on the latest fad, and answer questions on the street to Youtube interviewers looking to expose just how dumb the general public is.

Burn this into your brain. There is no fricking way, multi-millionaires and billionaires are going to sign off of hiring ANYONE with little, to no, coaching experience, to head up a program that brings in over $100 million/year. Get your head out of your arse. Fame does not equal results, at this level. The Vandy coach is infinitely more qualified than Sanders, and would coach circles around him.

Remember the Turner Gill phenomenon?

Some people went nuts over him.

We would be better off hiring our own version of Pittman:

Great recruiter, put a ton of guys in the league, loved by his players, decades of experience in the SEC, and an Auburn Man. And though he’s never been an HC, at the very least he could bring in a ton of talent for the next guy if he didn’t work out.

Kinda like you who swore Finley stole the hearts from the coaches and fans after the miraculous 98 yard drive against Georgia State.

Jang appears to be in some kind of crisis. An intervention may be needed. Mental break imminent.

Next coach must, and I mean must be an excellent recruiter. Deion could blow cock as a coach but he’ll recruit. If you blow this hire with a bad coach and a shitty recruiter, we’ll be 10 years away from an SEC champ at least. A shitty coach but a great recruiter, that shrinks to 5 years

Plus let’s be honest the man has more 5 star recruits than us. So he would be awesome.

I agree with your conclusion. We have to have a great recruiter that can flatten the curve. I don’t know about your math. Move five to three and now you’re talking!

I could get behind that. He'd need a big budget for coordinators but I think the PTB would support him and we all know he can recruit.

If we at least get a coach that can recruit he will make it easier for the next guy.. and who knows maybe he can coach and it doesn’t get to that.

I’d get behind Harsin if he had us in the top 10 every year in recruiting, but he may not crack top 10 on sec recruiting. That is a bad recipe

Texas A&M has had a top 10 class, for about as far back as I want to look.

They just lost to Appy State...........
