The best? Really…

I’m not even sure what you are arguing about or for?
You really think ADAG made that exclusive call? I don't think you are naïve, but hey, I've been wrong before.

Matt Rhule’s days in Carolina may soon be coming to an end. An awesome college coach who tried the NFL, but it isn’t working out.

Deion hasn't been there long enough to be judged on that yet. But as a point of reference JSU and Auburn had the same number of players drafted in 2022. So Harsin was the best we could do, but Deion is terrible. Using the NFL draft as a gage, they're literally 1 and the same. Except Deion got a JSU player drafted for the 1st time in 10 years, Auburn with 1 draftee is far less an accomplishment

Would Matt Rhule qualify?

He's expected to get canned by Carolina any day now...

So you’re another new fearmongering Harsin FUD stan.

I’ve been melting about our shite program since January. Thanks for catching up.

I think there's a 4th option. A candidate who's a risk but could have huge upside...Deion. If wrong, the cupboard would be stocked for the next guy

frick. That. He asked me who Deion would hire, I ask who that douche would hire. I'm sure his Conference USA championship rings would be really impressive to recruits too. frick NFL (and MLB) experience and Super Bowl rings

Well I'll grant you that Clark isn't on tv, dancing with a duck......he's only won everywhere he's ever been, has ties all across the region, and is available.

But hey, let's throw in with a guy who was coaching high school in 2020. That seems like a really smart decision coming off the Harsin hire.

Matt Rhule won a few games at Baylor, but had a terrible record against any semi-competent team or better.

Bill Clark will do his best to keep Auburn in their place. But I’m not impressed with his resume. At least with Deion I’m not pointing to the resume, I’m pointing to an gift that could happen, and if not there will still be Bill Clark.

While Clark was bouncing around Alabama High School football, Deoin was playing in Super Bowls and the World Series. South Alabama, Jacksonville State, and UAB. Wow.

To your point of getting players to the NFL, Clark also had 1. So....

I would choose neither, but if I *had* to choose, I would choose CFHoF/NFLHoF’er Deion over that bammer dick-sucker Bill Clark.

Yes I think ADAG went out on his own and got his guy. That’s why he is gone

Some of these guys at this point get their black-helicopter shite in such a twist, they actually believe that the BoT, TGOB, and TPTB forced ADAG to hire his hot-tub, wife-swapping buddy.

Clark is done coaching. He has serious back issues and had surgery earlier this year. If he ever gets to the point where he feels comfortable enough to coach again, he’ll return to UAB I’m sure. He would not want to enter the stress kingdom of auburn.

Rhule took Temple from 2-10 to 10-3 in four seasons.

He took Baylor from 1-11 to 11-3 in three seasons.

Let’s get our facts straight before generalizing “won a few games.”

He may not be the savior, but he’s a good college coach for the time being.

You know Deion won the SWAC last year, so like Clark, he has won everywhere he has coached too.

Like Clark he had 1 2022 NFL draft pick.

So the only difference is who would land higher rated prospects? In 2021 UAB's highest ranked prospect was a 3* with an 84 rating. JSU had 5 4* signees rated 89 or higher.

Sometimes questions kinda answer themselves

I have an unhealthy SEC bias. I know the difficulty of our conference schedule and I know where we find our cupcakes. Just in general, Prime’s HC record doesnt mean anything by itself. There is obviously something else about Deion that’s being sold.

Harsin’s record at Boise wasn’t standalone worthy either. What else did he bring to the plains?? Neither was Napier’s but you see his pedigree and SEC ties. He will probably be a good football coach. Harsin didn’t even dominate his conference while at boise like you would’ve liked to see. Yeah he had the strongest team, but there still wasn’t a lot there showing supremacy was growing. I can’t believe he was hired. He might’ve been hired just because nobody knew enough about him to stir up a negative reaction.

Glad you trust him to do that. I'm sold now. After knowing you trust him, and based on his 1 full season coaching, I'm all in! I mean what could go wrong?
