If, after all this, they hire Grimes....
I'm expecting this so I'm not as disappointed when it happens.

Anyone checking flights yet? Does anyone have the tracking/plane ID so we can all look?

Grimes can work if he doesn’t touch the offense with a ten foot pole and he stocks up the OL. What happened to his boy Ryan Pugh? He was a rising star at BYU, went to Troy to be OC and regressed back to coaching OL at Abilene Christian.

He got cancelled because he dressed up as Reggie Bush at one of those famous Auburn Football team Halloween days.

Bruh, it's 2022. They're not flying the jet to interview coaches. That stopped being a thing like 15 years ago.

That’s one way to stunt a career. Just checked. He had just got hired at Baylor! Wow!!!

And apparently his date dressed up Kim Kardashian. I get the optics and just not smart, but when is cancel culture going to decide context matters too.

Context will only matter when one of the leaders of their movement does something stupid

I’m frustrated as f*** right now. And that’s why I don’t pay attention to politics. Back to Deion.

Supposedly some dumbass podcast called Auburn a top 5 job. Our positioning is amazing compared to the last coaching search. Are there any top schools waiting to fire?
Posted on 11/1/22 at 10:32 pm to jangalang
Who knows, maybe if someone leaves for the NFL? Nothing comes to mind though.
Is Oklahoma or Miami irrational enough to fire someone this soon?

I was hoping the floor would be Freeze, which I would be on board with. Grimes seems disgusting after all this

If this happens… man idk
Vibes are at a very high level right now, we have so much hope bc of the possibilities in front of us. I can’t imagine the crush of hiring Grimes. Many folks have been talking a big game about Cohen like he will do what it takes to make a good hire - I sure hope they’re right.

Even if the pick is ultimately wrong, the new AD corrected 14-12 Moorhead after two years. There was no “we need to give him at a minimum 4 years” crap.

Why isn't Auburn a top 5 position?
1. SEC West exposure
2. Brand new football specific performance center that's unused
3. Potentially easier schedule when Texas/Oklahoma arrive
4. Rabid fanatics, which can be good or bad depending, but at least it shows we care.
5. Good alternate season sports on campus, coaches supporting coaches
6. AD that seems to get it, even giving the deputy hat to keep Pearl happy
7. Power 5 school
Con maybe: some behind the scenes power brokers, but every major school really has them, ours just take the spotlight a bit too much, and honestly I think it gets overblown by media just so they can feed that narrative to competing markets, and keep air time interesting. Part of that happened with Thamel and Hjoke this February.
Caddy and crew had the best practice all year, so what if Caddy shows some spark for the job?

I lissened to it one more time for the helluva it. What was most impressive was the way he laid out the pitch. It was fricking flawless.
