I can't remember if it was here or AUfamily, but someone posted those games don't matter. I countered the Mercer type games are a great window into the program. Your starters should dominate for a half. Your backups should come in amd dominate the second half. We did neither.

Do you really think there are a lot of recruits who have the race of the person recruiting them, as the main factor in their decision? If that's the case, that's one dumb SOB, considering the "old whiteboy" across the State currently has 3 former QBs starting in the NFL, and a Heisman winning QB on his team.
Do you think Rodney Garner's race had a lot to do with him signing all those good DLs, or was the fact he put a shitload of players in the league?

That's embarrassing, regardless of context.
ETA: Just figured it out - that was week 4 vs Tulsa.
3pm CDT kick, sunny skies, 90 degrees, home team is #16 in the country, attendance allegedly 60k, and 5 minutes into the 2nd half in a contested game there's maybe 20k in the stands.
At the same time this pic was taken, I was leaving Jordan-Hare after witnessing one of the worst exhibitions of football I'd ever seen, between two teams fighting for what maybe their only SEC win of the season, and there were still >60k in the stands at the end.
