Every time Bo Nix threw an incompletion, everybody started yelling daddy ball. Kept saying he was only the allowed to start at QB at a billion dollar football program/instution because his dad was a decent Auburn QB a couple decades prior. It was all so silly.

Yeah, better he be known as a quitter instead

Laugh all you want, any QB would’ve been set up to fail with the talent that Ashford had around him.

Ashford is the worst starting Qb to ever suit up for Auburn in my lifetime. Bottom of the barrell in damn near every statistical category sans rushing the football. Talent around Ashford? We had talent all over the field at all positions sans OL.

WTF are you talking about?

Which receiver would start for a top 8ish SEC team?

We had games where our receivers caught a grand total 6 passes all game despite throwing a ton.

All of our TEs weren’t special. They weren’t Lutz, much less Uzomah.

I wasn’t going to bother commenting in this thread, but this comment is just too dumb not to. We had the worst WR and Oline group in the SEC last season. Besides RB, it was bad. WRs could never get open and dropped half the passes that hit them in the chest. Ashford had to run for his life at the snap most of the time too.

I understand hyperbole but come on now, you can't really believe this? We've had some QB's that weren't good at all suit up for Auburn.

Based on how he posts, he could be 4?

We completed 6 passes to actual wide receivers against San Jose State.

Johnson was the top Yardage getter at 41 yards. Next highest: 22.

Yeah man we were loaded!

In 2021 he helped our offense. Auburn fans should’ve pivoted away from that daddy ball bull shite they were so enamored with.

Simply not realistic based on the record. Not gonna happen, ever.

Not blaming him for leaving (horrible situation with Haskins props for who started this). But I think he should/could have just left without telling his "love myself story."

Also, I do 100% believe Bo and Pat drastically overrated his talent/QB ability. No way he is staying another year out west if the NFL had done anything but rate him as very mediocre.

I am quite sure he could have been a middle round pick this year if he had come out. This is another one of many examples of NIL changing the nature of these decisions for some guys

What are some other examples? I think this is way overrated.

Guys are more worried about getting injured - thus still leaving as soon as possible.

Did Bo have mega NIL deals at Oregon (I don't know)? But I don't automatically think of Oregon as being a hot spot for NIL (or going all in NIL for that matter).

All of them. They start for Auburn.

yeah man, Robbie sucks arse throwing the football, thats the whole point

What? Shenker was a good TE for us. Hell, we caught damn near more passes from the TE position than all of gus's years combined

Most people think of Oregon and think of money. Yes he is well paid.

Auburn wasn’t even a top 8ish team last year. We have had consecutive losing seasons. Try again.

And our receivers were either average or sucked themselves.

What? Shenker was a good TE for us.

Did you also want to marry the first girl that gave you head? Just because we have a notable change in giving TEs attention doesn’t mean the first TE is great. Shenker won’t even make it in Canada

Yes.

Wait sorry I got lost in a memory.

Ashford had less talent around him than any QB in modern AU history. The backs were good. The next best player was who? Trox? Shenker?

In terms of pro potential I don’t have the slightest clue. Probably Troxell.

Reminds me of a joke my wife told me not long after I met her. "How do you get a southern girl to suck your dick?" .... "You dip it in ranch".

That was maybe on our first date. I knew at that moment this was the one.

I stopped by the grocery store on the way home.
