I haven't followed recruiting very close for a few years. Went over to 247 and started down the youtube rabbit hole.

Found out we have some might good freshmen coming in.

Few player highlight videos I've watched so far that I'm pretty excited about..

2018
Shaun Shivers - 5'6" RB
Harold Joiner - 6'3" RB

So funny we have a extremely small and extremely tall set of RBs coming in.

2019
George Pickens - Dude's highlight video is pretty damn impressive

That's all I've watched so far. Will watch some more tonight. Getting pumped for the season to start. Need football.

You guys have any must see players from our recruiting classes I need to check out?

If you want to see how we'll use Joiner, look up videos of Charles Clay at Tulsa. They are very similar skill sets and Malzahn used Clay very well.

Shiver is going to be fun. I'm very excited about him. I don't think he is going to be a 25+ carry a game back, but he is well put together and stupid quick. He should be fun to watch.

When I hear about an AU RB that stands around 5'6" it brings back memories of Lionel James. Shivers appears to be a little different back (better comparison being Sproles) but Lionel was awesome. Both at AU and with the Chargers.

Love that he wears #21. He could be a beast for us. Is he supposed to crack the starting lineup?

Sounds like Jeremiah Dinson and Daniel Thomas have two safety spots locked down after spring but I wouldn't be shocked if Monday found his way into a starting role by the end of the season

I think I would take those combos over this one, TBH.

I hope they prove me wrong, but I have always viewed them as role players and not starters in the SEC.

Hope Smoke Monday gets ready fast...

I'll have to see his hands and freakish lateral quicks at this level before I start tossing that comp around. Right now he's more of a straight line speed guy but has an every down RB body build (although short).

Asa Martin.

I think he gets significant playing time this year. Can't wait to see him play.

Eh not sure about that...

From all reports Jeremiah Dinson had one of the best springs of any player in the secondary. He's not elite in man to man coverage but he won't be asked to do that as much this year. I think safety is a great move for him

Daniel Thomas makes me somewhat nervous. I think if a freshman S cracks the rotation it's taking his spot

There was an article that just came out on Rivals where Marcus Woodson was calling Daniel Thomas the "bell cow physically" for the secondary this spring. He's come up with some big plays here and there in his career, so we'll see I guess.
I too am worried about this combo on the backend, fwiw
