Not trying to be witty, it's simply the truth. You are one of the most argumentative and defensive posters on this board. You have a bazillion back and forth posts with Chex to prove it.

But on the topic at hand, the fact of the matter is that nobody in the SEC has continuity in their roster for next season. Nobody has more than like 3-4 rotational players returning next year, and pretty much nobody returns more than like 2 starters (Florida might have 3 if Condon comes back).

So acting like Auburn is in some black hole because we are turning over our roster is simply not true. It's unfortunately simply a new normal in college basketball with NIL.

And Blue didn't even know which of our players were D1 or what conferences they came from, he certainly doesn't know how talented they are if he doesn't even know that. Hence I said BS.

I've personally watched Hall, Murphy, and Overton play a bit, so I feel comfortable commenting on them. I really like Hall and Murphy, more neutral on Overton due to his offensive limitations, but he was only a sophomore and plays really solid defense.

Perfectly normal for you to have no clue how we'll up and to consider the team a huge question mark Jang.. I'm not sure why you are being defensive about this, nobody is calling you out.

But regardless of how the team gels or turns out, we have much better than mid level NIT talent on the roster. Whether it manages to translate remains to be seen, but the talent is there to be a very good team.

First off I know who I am. I am argumentative at shitheads berating others for not having some glowing opinion of what we have right now. You're being defensive over someone's very cautious suspicion of next year's brand new team. I dont think we will be as bad as he predicted but you are making sure to tear someone down as if he is your child over his 2 cents. I dont know who Bigblue is but he is no Scoper.

I dont know what black hole means but I am certainly less excited about our prospects compared to last season. I feel like that's fairly natural. Last season was a great culmination of roster continuity. This year is a reset and we might even use a different strategy in personnel playing small more.

I read the rest of your post and I will just say this you see talent and I see question marks across the board. Chemistry, X's and O's, who will be the studs, who will be the dud, and who are the big men.

In Auburn's best years Auburn had a core of returning players and they transfered in some missing pieces. At the very least next year will be a step down to that point but nobody with a crystal ball knows the size of the step down.

Yeah, definitely the plan from what people have said, with Hall starting at PF. I just don't personally see a big issue with that given our only other final four team besides this year had the same setup.

No doubt on that. But people aren't really claiming otherwise. We all thought we had a #2/3 or better seed coming in to the last season with all the talent we had returning. Now you have people saying our upside is a #4/5 seed.

But if you look around the SEC everyone is in the same boat.

Bama is returning Holloway, their backup center Sherrill (who is very talented), and Wrightsell (Achilles ruptured is tough to return from)off of major injury. Tenn is returning two players, their solid starting center Okpara and a solid backup forward in Cade Phillips.

Kentucky returns a stud in Oweh, an average backup center, and two true freshman that played ten minutes a game and sucked when they played. A&M returns squat and lost Buzz, Ole Miss is just returning Dia.

Florida has Haugh, Chinliyu, possibly Condon, and a couple other depth centers returning, but zero guards or other wings returning. Mizzou returns Robinson and Mitchell and some nobodies.Arky probably returns the most of their rotation with Wagner, Richmond, Brazille, and probably Knox returning, but they were all kinda average last year.

Basically it's just uncertainty and roster turnover all over the place. Having one more average or solid starter returning isn't going to be the difference for all of the SEC teams, it's going to be how well the transfers and true freshman gel and play together.

Right now this team feels like a mid tier NIT squad. It's not where I thought we'd be after such a historic run this year.

So you've watched them "play a bit" now you think you're an expert on what THIS newly constructed team will be. Boy have a seat. Especially after acknowledging that everything changes if Tahaad leaves. And we don't know what Tahaad would be as a full-time starter and leader of this team since we haven't seen that yet either. He's still really young compared to what we've had in that role.

I didn't stutter. I might have been a bit hyperbolic with the mid tier comment, but my point remains. Who on this team do we depend on for a bucket?

Pettiford/Hall and hopefully Bashir

Pettiford was pretty dependable for a bucket last year as a freshman in arguably the best basketball conference ever.

Hall literally led the second best conference in scoring.

Bashir averaged like 28 in JUCO. For reference I think CBM averaged 16-17 ppg in JUCO and immediately popped off the screen at AU

Auburn has met or exceeded my preseason expectations for 7 of the last 8 seasons in basketball. You’d actually have to be a loser to NOT be optimistic with that in mind

Eat your piss cheerios and have another bad day

Tomorrow is always a brand new day.

100% of those seasons had better roster continuity than what we will see next year.

Stop being a loser stumping for a team that nobody has seen yet.

I haven’t made any bold claims about next years team. I have only said we have a few already proven guys plus a couple guys I personally really like from what I’ve seen on tape

I didn’t even acknowledge the NIT comment. Although yeah I think that was clearly a dramatic Stidham8/Scoper like assessment of our roster

My take is essentially that I think we have a talented roster and I trust Bruce to get a lot out of it. Is that getting out in front of my skis? No.

Maybe I’ll make a little bolder prediction when we round out the roster but that’s where I am now

The tell is that you’re apparently offended by me saying I think we have some good players but apparently I’m not allowed to think we have a better roster than a mid-level NIT team.

Telling on yourself a bit bud
