As of today:
“Well, I am actually real close to making a decision. I am looking to commit in the first two weeks of November. That’s right around the corner… What coaches believe in hitting me up like you know.. what place I could fit in, who’s there in my position. And what they are telling me like where they could see me fitting now and I feel like that could really go into the factor for me coming into school and also like the history they have and what it is: being good in the past few years… I think that’s what goes into it,” Kiyan revealed.

With so many seniors, we should hit with some big time HS recruits and portal guys for 2025-2026.

Thanks Jangalang! I was about to post some of these comments, but you did a great job!
Also, I’ve been saying this since he signed with us, but Miles Kelly will probably be our best offseason acquisition. He was THE GUY at Georgia Tech and was why his numbers went down some from the previous season. He doesn’t have to worry about that anymore and can now focus on scoring instead of getting everyone aligned on offense. My not so bold prediction: Kelly is first team All SEC at the end of the year.

My main concerns are probably yours. PG and the power forward. I loved Denver's spot shooting last year and hope we dont mess that up.

I’m not too concerned about PG honestly. We upgraded in talent alone in that area and at worst they play like the ones we have had since Cooper was here. If that’s the case, we will make some noise. We don’t need whoever the PG is to be some kind of All Star, just need them to run the offense. Broome, Denver, CBM, Pegues, Pettiford, and Kelly can all create their own shots. We haven’t had this many players who can do that since our Final Four run. It’s why Chaney Johnson doesn’t have to play to Jaylin’s ability as well. We have over half our team who can make things happen by themselves. Yes, the PF position isn’t great, but I also think we are going to see a different lineup. I can see this lineup being the one we end games with: Pegues, Denver, CBM, Kelly and Broome. Who do you guard with all of those playmakers on the floor? If you double Broome, you are really going to leave CBM, Denver or Kelly open? That’s asking to lose. Again, I love how versatile our roster is and the playmaking ability we have compared to years past.

Inject this into my vein! I love our versatility too but that means Pappa Pearl needs to be on his game. We have the chess pieces to be used.

One of my biggest gripes with Pearl is he relies too much on his depth, and I’ve been saying this for years now, it’s why I believe we have flamed out in the tournament. There’s no cohesion for the starters when it comes to end of games because he’s constantly subbing people out. That’s good to do during the nonconference and first half of the SEC schedule. However, those last two months, your top 6-7 players need to be playing at least 27-30 minutes a game. Every other top program does that the last two months and it’s why they are consistently going to the second weekend in the tournament. Your main contributors need to have that chemistry and understand that they are the primary players instead of playing well and then getting subbed in, killing the momentum.

With the schedule, if we win our share, seeding should be good.

Our depth has been one of our biggest strengths. It will be again this year.
