Thanks friend. Now I am like you I wish we had a Howard tool in our arsenal but we dont and wont. Benches get tighter in the tournament and the guys like Pegues, Turtle, and Howard will be used very sparingly, if at all.

I think there is a small chance he gets some run in our 3 game stretch after Saturday. But there’s not a chance he sees the court Saturday.
He hasn’t earned that opportunity and frankly it doesn’t make sense from a basketball standpoint.
I’ve already acknowledged he helped us in a couple decently big games earlier this season but then he went back into the doghouse and it’s getting late in the season, for a guy who isn’t what I would considered proven.

I don’t think Jahki Howard is a realistic option at this point. He’s a talented kid but it’s too late in the season to get him back in the rotation when he has barely proven to be trusted to begin with in terms of on court play. He has no one to blame but himself.

I’d rather play a combo of Moore, banged up CBM, slide Kelly down to get some run at the 3 at this point personally. It’s time to only play our trusted players. Howard is not a trusted player
Imo, a banged up CBM will struggle to defend behind the arch and struggle to keep players from driving to the basket. Bama will definitely uses his injury to their advantage
Moore has put together two decent games back to back after struggling for a few weeks. Hopefully he has his best game Saturday.
As far as trusting Howard, BP trusted him with a double digit minutes until the Tenn game. I dont think trust is the issue right now based on those minutes. This is punishment and not lack of trust. jmo

It’s both. Let’s not forget the punishment began because he showed to be untrustworthy to follow the scouting report in the biggest home game of the season

The Tennessee game was the one game where Bruce put faith into him by giving him competitive minutes and he failed that test. I would not think much about him, and even if he did make it to a year two he would still have to reshape my mind of who he is as a player. I know he can dunk and is a poor team player. Devan Cambridge could also dunk. One time Devan Cambridge came up clutch as a freshman and put up 24 points leading the whole squad to a win against South Carolina when our squad was reeling. I am not even sure Howard can be Cambridge for a day if he was left in the game.

Howard's defense got him yanked against Tenn, rightfully so, but it was his mouth that got him benched. Not lack of trust.

Its just buddy and none of the other word play but I am only skeptical when the strangers say it.
