Mason takes second on indifference.

Rembert Ks to end the game.
Yeah we need Bristol. Shame he’s sick.

Rembert is not good hitting leadoff. Can’t get on.

Oof glad I missed this one. Bub is starting to piss me off with so many strike outs. At some point in the game you just have to go to the plate looking for contact.
Still against upper level SEC pitching we struggle to hit. Way to many strikeouts for a team that has a good batting average as a whole

Corch, you got to get the good ones early and we missed our chance. Had a couple hard hit balls in Inning 1 and 2, 1 especially tha could have played another run or 2. After that King was dealing
Dre was just too amped up and couldn’t settle down
King did a good job on going low then high and it killed both Bub and Rembert. Rembert is just not seeing the ball

Bud is a typical power hitter. He’s trying to drive each pitch over the wall. Power hitters strike out more often, because of swinging to the fence. Those were most challenging hitters to control. So he has 0-3 days and two over the fence days. I took one that was a 6’ tall , 13 year old and taught him patience. “Once you send one out, you’ll know it takes to use what’s thrown at you and what it becomes in connecting with a pitch and getting on base or the thrill it becomes to clear the fence.” The first one he hit was 380 feet into the trees, dead center field.
First year, 10 homers, second year over 20.
The Florida Gators got him for 4 years and the Chicago Cubs buried him in the minors. But he got there. It was politics after that. Kid had a more important talent. I caught him day one when I became a coach. Throwing mid 90’s from the hill. We know because at 14, the Detroit Tigers sent a scout to gun him. 9 pitches, low 91 and high 96. He was blessed to have a former catcher as a coach.

Mason grounds out to open the game. Decent AB at least. Eric singles on a 2-2 count. Fralick smashes one right at second and it ends up in the outfield. We’re in business with one out. Rembert up.

Rembert pops out. Gregorio up. Gregorio is hurt. Strained something. He has to come out. Steele in to replace him at DH.

K ends the first.
0-0 T2. We have a lot of power coming up. Hope we keep making contact on this kid.

Eddie pops out for out one. Bub swings at the first pitch he sees and grounds out. Probably not a bad approach but you’re not putting much pressure on him. At least Brandon’s up and he’s a patient hitter. Probably too patient. He Ks looking.

Mason Ks. Guevara makes great contact but it’s a line out to center. Fralick gets plinked and I bet that hurt like hell. This kid throws 95+

Rembert singles and we’re in business with two outs.
Come on, Lucas.
