We could do a lot worse than Zak Hill. He's pretty much the neutral point for me. Anyone better and I'll be pretty excited (Ludwig, Grimes), anyone worse I'll be disappointed.
Frank Ponce's name has been floated, too, and based on what I've seen of App State he seems like Zak Hill lite.

He's from the Scott Satterfield coaching tree, and Satterfield is a pretty underrated offensive mind. Ponce also offers some interesting recruiting upside in South Florida (he was at FIU while Cristobal was the HC there). He isn't a name guy but he's one who could be sneaky good.

Ponce also started out coaching at a lot of South Florida high schools, which would be great for recruiting. He’s developed some good QBs at App State.

I'll help him. There was a post from a mod on the ASU 24/7 site about Hill being offered the job but hold up was our office vetting him for compliance issues

As long as the NCAA assures Auburn he isn't implicated in the ASU investigation, he won't have a problem. If Auburn can't be assured of that, he won't hired and shouldn't b

Look at PM coming in and acting like he has any inside sources at all. I just think it’s a bad hire and does nothing to improve on the weaknesses of this staff, Harsin has plenty of Gus in him wanting yes men at OC.
