quote:You think Green will be moved to SS? Looks like Miami-Ohio transfer Weiss is a SS, maybe he moves to 3rd? I know Brody Moss played limited at 2nd this past season, does he get a shot somewhere? Seems like anybody transferring would feel pretty good about getting on the field. Position competition is good for the team, it's going to be interesting to see the infield changes next year.
I expect Mongelli to sign based on the fact we got a commit from JSU 2nd baseman
With Peirce coming back, looks like right field is in good shape and I think Stanfield could slide over center mabye? Who knows but I like the staff, the roster and the possibilities.

MIF will be intersecting. Rest of the roster seems set, agree with Stanfield at CF. Not sold on Green at SS but options seem limited.

I expect Weiss to play SS now

Slot value at their pick is $8.34 mill. Jackson Holliday and Druw Jones signed for $8.19 and $8.189 mill a year ago as HS selections going #1 and #2 overall. Max Clark will receive less than that. Max Clark probably gets something like $7.8 mill, which places him over the slot value at the #4 pick (where he was likely to go) but still gives the Tigers ~$500K in savings.
Max Clark officially signs for $7.7 million

Kevin McConigle signs with the Tigers for $2.85 million.

Don't know if it was reported, but I have heard Copeland is coming back to the team...Had one year left of eligibility. Honestly was not encouraged to return, but missing out on a few signees opened some spots.
I like having him back as he is a player that can start either weekend in a pinch or midweek as a veteran guy. He might also be a middle relief option.

Good, let the hate flow.
You could have just as easily created a thread closer to baseball season instead of looking at an inactive thread for months.
TigerTerrace creates threads for baseball related news as well. Common sense would go a long way here.

In baseball news, Donaldson got called up by the Brewers.

Sonny is scrapping by in AA, Ryan Bliss is tearing it up out west. Burns, fitts, Barnett, and bright all have had good AA seasons.

I'm not in the know, but are their seasons over? Is there any postseason in the minors? I grew up in Auburn watching hoops at BEMC and FB at JHS, but didn't watch my first Tigers baseball game until I was 40+. Don't know why. I played little league in Auburn yearly growing up. Went to Braves games, but never went to watch our Tigers on the diamond, nor did any of my friends. Seems so strange now, but I have been following AU baseball much more closely after Sunny and want to keep up as much as possible with our former players. All info / updates are appreciated.
