Griffin hangs a breaking ball and their leadoff hitter makes him pay for it with a single. 643 DP negates the hit. Griffin surrenders a two out, four pitch walk to the three hole hitter. Pick off catches the runner but Chase’s throw to second sails into left. They’re in business.

Griffin surrenders another leadoff single. Man they just keep putting bat on ball on him. 4-3 DP erases the hit for a second straight inning. Guess we’ll take that.

Lucas grounds out to open. Mason singles. Eric makes great contact but the center fielder runs it down. Mason gets caught stealing to end the frame. Delayed steal. Guess we’re practicing small ball.

Griffin gets a K to open. Finally kept the leadoff guy off the bases. Ground out for out two. Here’s that center fielder. Man he took a home run cut for strike one. They say Lucas interfered on the swing and it looks like he did. UAB has a runner. He gets picked off the end the third.

UAB to the pen again. Guess they’re gonna try to win by committee and not let us key in on any particular guy with an extended outing.
