Didn't Bruce turn down infrastructure in favor of NIL?

And the talent we got resulted in seven players.

Yet some people think we can buy a new coach and upgrade to better players.... because of somehow magically wishing it could happen.

Yes turned down a new practice facility for NIL. Hence why/howwe were able to build the last couple years roster.

I’m afraid the problem we are gonna have after this Steven Debacle, is finding a decent coach that would take the job. A program that went to 2 Final Fours in 7 years really 6 due to Covid, is about to be relegated to the conference basement. All the sellouts will come to a halt, fan interest will dwindle and the job will be the shite job it was before Bruce took it.

Maybe, perhaps, but that's probably a year after next problem if at all.

Just don't see us pulling the rug from under SP because of this year alone.

What debacle?

Win 2 games and we are in the tournament. If we can’t win 2 of the next 3 then we don’t deserve it.

What was the expectation of this team? Final 4? If so we are delusional. Top 25? Possibly. We aren’t fair off from that according to the metrics. Granted we could have schedule the little sisters of the poor in the OCC and be sitting at 20ish wins. But we didn’t we have the toughest schedule in the county. That’s what I want as a fan. As long as we keep scheduling like that we will get players that want to play against the best.

Absolutely will not happen. Barring some type of scandal.

It’s not my opinion it’s reality. You think the PTB is gonna invest big NIL money into basketball at Auburn???

Why the frick not?

Because they didnt get a blowjob from a hooker under the basketball stadium seats?

Keep pumping Steven mid game just for him to blow it.

Because we have limited funds. First priority is football. Second is basketball. Like I said we will hover somewhere around $5m-$7m in roster money each year. Our 2 big roster guys one is slightly over 2.2m and the other just under 2m. Hall and Pettiford. Murphy and Overton both slightly under $1m. So where do you squeeze the orange to get more juice? It’s not like we are going to roll out a $12m roster like some other programs. Last seasons roster was under $8m.

Almost all small contributions to OTV go to football.

We are still solidly in the field after losing 6 of the last 7. So of course mid season I was saying we were solidly in. We are more than likely a 9 seed currently.

But we have played ourselves into needing to win some games to close out the season. We need to go 2-1 at worst and we are in. 1-2 we probably are out because LSU and Ole Miss are bad.

And the most frustrating thing about it is that basketball is the best bang for the buck in the major sports that we could compete in in this current NIL/portal world. I'm not sure we'll ever really get off the mat in football, even at maximum booster spending. It just costs too much across the board. Spend even close to that in basketball, and we stay in the picture. Instead, we'll likely be mediocre across the board in the major sports because we're myopic about football. It's a shame.

I am not entertaining limited funds bros.

If we dont have enough money to compete then close the doors.

I am never satisfied with the product that was on display last night.

Then you might want to write off Auburn basketball. We are a football school always have been always will be.

We have a solid basketball foundation for the first time in our history. And after a coaching shake up and complete roster turnover from our greatest team ever some unrealistic fans wanna blow the program up instead of having just a slight bit of patience.

There isn’t a coach out there that makes us a final 4 contender every year because of funding. Watch Todd Golden’s career. He will have ebbs and flows in his career as well. And Florida will invest in their program more than we do.

Well then Bruce didnt build anything. I am not writing off anything other than the dumb decision for Bruce's replacement.

Todd Golden was 16-17 his first season at UF. Did not make the tournament. And probably had a better roster then this Auburn roster.

Dont know. I never even heard of Nate Oats until Bama hired him. I liked Bucky. There are more deserving coaches out there.
