For all the nonsense about this being a flawed roster and you can't blame Steven do some of you realize this is most likely the most talented roster he will ever coach. Let that sink in for a minute. Also one of the biggest aspects of coaching at this level is getting players to play together. We don't on either end of the court nor do we consistently play with effort. I've been an Auburn basketball fan since before the Barkley days and will continue to be regardless of who is court side but if you can't see where this is all going I don't know what to tell you. The sooner we end this forced experiment the better.

You might be right on where this is going but you don't know that this will be the best roster he will coach. Why are you so sure of that?
I do blame both Bruce and Steven for this roster. It is simply not well designed.

We were throwing up bricks in Wednesday night away game.
So yeah we sucked…. But there are degrees of suckage and I’m not going to toss in the towel in quite yet. SP might still get more out of these boys than we’ve seen and not making the tournament doesn’t have to define his 30 year career before it’s hardly started.

Middle of the pack NIL and a HC with no proof of concept to get the benefit of the doubt. I don't blame Steven for this mess but this never should have been his 1st HCing job and I don't believe he has what it takes to turn this around.

Rejects said our NIL isnt even halfway close to being a program serious about winning fwiw

I just don't think this roster is littered with talent that commands high NIL $$$ other than Hall and Pettiford (who is proving he really should just be a piece on a good team, not a centerpiece). I think you could build a much better and attainable roster with the same budget.

I wish we had poached Philon away, he’s a true PG in my eyes

Having a PG would help this team tremendously. But they could help themselves by running some damn offense. They rarely do anything on or off ball to get the defense moving, making them extremely easy to guard. I'm honestly not sure what their offense is other than to isolate Hall on someone, or maybe something simple off a screen.
This is obviously not last year's team. Last year's team ran offense. Weave action out top to get desired switches. Basic shite like feeding the post to find a shooter. Where are the classic Pearl pin down screens and flex cuts? We are depending too much on the pure athleticism of the players this year, which fails when shots aren't falling. It's both lazy and bad coaching. Teams like Duke with the best athletes in the country run offense.

Amen! I am no basketball expert but we look more like a pick-up offense. Reminds me of the Larry Finch offenses as Memphis in the early 1990s.

The wild thing was early on in the first half we were definitely running offensive sets and it gradually converged into ISO ball.

9th best offense in the country per KenPom. I agree it's frustrating at times, but the bigger problem is on the other end.

Steven says he is keeping muschalak at backup pg.

Wow! I would think we’d have a better record with that.
We sure don’t look like the 9th best from the eye test.
