Give anything for a reporter to ask Gus about that

Just ask “Why do you consider Arkansas a bigger rival than Georgia?” Then enjoy never having to listen to his dweeb arse again.

To what extent does having a rivalry as big as Alabama hurt is against Georgia. Is Gus told when he is hired, you better beat Bama or you are gone? Do we put more time, emphasis, energy into that rivalry? I feel like UGA can more easily shrug off the Tech rivalry and focus on beating Auburn every year.

No excuse for tonight. Just can’t believe Gus has been much more competitive against Alabama than UGA. I live in Atlanta and I personally wish it was the other way around. Glad I don’t have to go into the office currently.

To be fair, that problem didn’t start with Gustav.

After winning his first game in Red Stick, Tubs went 0-4 the rest of his tenure. Chiz was 0-2 there as well.

Tubs was 3-1in his first four games Between the Hedges, but we’ve lost the last 7 straight under him, Chiz, and Gus.

After the 2010 game we were 5-1 in Bryant-Denny. Winless in our last four trips.

So, while the majority of our abject failures on the road against our rivals fall on our current HC’s shoulders, our problems run deeper than that.

It’s time we faced reality: we are paying a premium price for a low octane football program.

We are spending on salaries and facilities at a level in keeping with the historically most successful programs in the country, just to be a perennial also-ran.

We are Auburn: The Loveliest (Potemkin) Village On The Plains.
