I meant what I said earlier. Auburn has never looked like NCAA tourney team all year.

Auburn was never on the bubble. Other than an unGodly miracle, we wasn't even close to getting in. We need to be thankful to get to the NIT and get extra practice experience.

Tonight it was directly related to going to man. Bruce was probably worried about giving up threes but ended up giving up 50 layups. We controlled the paint in the first half and got abused in the paint in the second half.

Not sure why we ever leave zone. We clearly do so much better when in it

I understand that man is probably a better defense when run well, but when up 20 we just need "not shitty"

It should be amended to we've never played a full game that was worthy of NCAAT consideration

We look like a NCAAT team approximately one half of every game. We look like Mizzou/LSU the other half

If you call not guarding your man going off, then yes.

He played fine offensively. He was atrocious on the other end.

The scout team does what the coaches have told them to do. Blaming the scout team is a mask for really blaming your game prep. How about be a man and say your game plan was terrible?

And Bruce saying the scout team is his respo.. No kidding, Bruce. The entire program is your responsibility

Wow, that is pretty bad. He really should just say it was his fault for not making the necessary adjustments through the second half. That he needs to get his team better prepared and learn how to finish a game.

This hurts to admit it but AU24's thread could be more accurate then I gave it credit for.

Can't imagine he means that the way it reads

Probably saying the game prep sucked and they didn't practice looks they received in game.

Ergo the scout team didn't do a good job preparing because he didn't have the scout team doing the right things

Otherwise his comments of taking blame make zero sense

You may be taking his words out of context. I believe Bruce did what he thought was necessary with the scout team to win, and now, in hindsight, he sees differently. Dont think he is blaming anybody but himself.

Good Lord he blamed the Scout Team, Kiffen his arse when the bus pull up in Auburn. for fricks sake. Scout team did well enough to give them 20pt lead at half.

I can accept that and you are probably correct, but as posted it looked bad.

His full text contradicts itself if he blames the scout team players

Seems to make a lot more sense in the context of "I fricked up how I used the scout team and our scout team as a result hurt us"
