The good ol boy network is long gone from AU. The BBQ gang won that battle but you do have to work with the money folks. It is what it is. They pony up 100 million you say yes sir thank you sir.

Exactly my point. He has no experience being a head coach. Gus at least had head coaching experience but hired him because he was told to by the GOBN.

Coach Garner is legitimately the best interior DL coach in the country. Any coach would be stupid not to want him. He has never been great at a rush spot but he would have plenty of bodies for the position.
No one has been a head coach before their first chance.
Again who do you trust to get you where you want? A guy like Harsin or an unknown like G

No one gives a shite about Gus except people that want to lay what is happening at Gus’ feet. It was time to move on from Gus. Has nothing to do with what is being discussed. If you are willing to go down the tubes because you think it’s better then Gus then that’s your opinion. I’m not ready for that. If you can’t see the train wreck happening before your eyes then you’re the blind one.

I know. He’s pompous a-hole that treats the media with non answers to specific questions. He’s a hardass that even his own coaching friends don’t know who is walking in the door Bryan or Coach Harsin on a day to day basis. He preaches being tough and strong but when given the opportunity on 4th and 1 we try a “gotcha” play with a backup QB on a 20 yard pass. Can’t recruit to save his life. Guess Auburn High will be our team in 2 years. He places blame on others whether it be coaching or “player execution”. It’s not player execution in game 11 dumbass it’s coaching you should know what you can execute by then.
