Sorry E.
I was repeating the statement the guy made about Whitlow 2 years ago
On Marcello — that guy makes everything so personal. That’s gotta be a tough way to go through life

Al Pogue Expected to be new DB coach
I think Jones was suggesting bad intel by using an example of bad intel.

Jones is the wittiest of wits that has ever witted though.

Nice of Gus to rescue Al Pogue from those meth-mouthed, couch burning hillbillies in WV.

Student pointed out the obvious - that Pogue was on the same staff at Troy
. And he fit in great there
Marcello kinda backtracked some and made it about the location, recruiting, things like that. Some other WVU mod said the same thing. Marcello is offended that his reporting is in question

A Mod from the WVU site chimed in with a more diplomatic response & thus seems plausible.

22 doesn’t think Pogue is a bad fit at WVU I guess. His point was that Pogue did follow Brown to West Virginia and they fit fine at Troy. Marcello sought the help from a West Virginia mod though, so he will win. The West Virginia mod is saying Pogue is struggling recruiting that area up north.

Pogue is an Alabama boy and always has been. I can easily see him not enjoying WVU if all he has known is the south.
Dude will be coaching with McGriff. His units were all solid at Troy and had a knack for getting INT's, which we have been sorely missing.
He is a young guy that seems to have some good upside. For the position we are bringing him in for, it is a good hire. Not great, but solid.

Not just Brown, the large majority of that coaching staff, DC included. Marcello is just being the butthurt baby that he usually is the second anybody questions him

Just a follow up. Not in direct response to yours.
Marcello feels like Pogue among others such as Etheridge would be easy hires though still good hires. Even says Pogue would be a pleasant addition to the staff, and that we are comfortable with his recruiting ability in the southeast. However he’s not sure one of the safer candidates are first choice
3 bigger names that he’s also hearing are:
Mike Reed- Clemson CB Coach
Corey Raymond- LSU DB Coach
Chevis Jackson- Kansas DB Coach
Jackson being the most likely of the 3. He was MAC recruiter of the year in 2017. Played for LSU. This one is intriguing.

Jackson would be an intriguing one for sure. Frankly, anything to get more DB play like LSU has had over the past few years wouldn't be a bad thing

Our DB play was so good for long this season. I wish they could’ve held on. They weren’t really the problem against Minnesota but they were one reason why our defense nearly gave up 1000 total yards the last two games of the year. And, sadly, the results will affect the legacy of such a veteran group that was competing to be best defense ever at Auburn.

Tua played high school ball in Alabama. Dumb statement right? See Jones, I can make fun of people also.

Such a damn cool name for trolling. Wish I thought of that. But yet you’re wasting it being offended over a giant nothingburger. No matter how right you know you were, I already said nobody was going to ever believe you. You do get that you’re completely anonymous right? Do you completely believe strangers often?
