I chose 2009. That's when I really started following recruiting. 5***** status determine by 247 or Rivals. Just a quick rundown on the players signed during given timeframe.
DeAngelo Benton - role player at best
Mike Dyer - kicked off team
Trovon Reed - role player
Cam Newton - NFL MVP
Shon Coleman - NFL
Christian Westerman - transferred to Arizona State
Kris Frost - starter at Auburn
Montravius Adams - multiple year starter
Carl Lawson - multiple year starter, often injured
Elijah Daniel - kicked off team
Roc Thomas - transferred to Jacksonville State
Tre Williams - assumed starter in 2016
Duke Williams - kicked off team
Byron Cowart - played some as true freshman
Jovon Robinson - kicked off team
Derrick Brown - just enrolled
Marlon Davidson - just enrolled
Did I leave anyone off?

Yes, but neither ended as 5 stars on Rivals or 247. I didn't check ESPN.
